A Differential pressure transmitter measures DP across the orifice Steam flow is proportional to square root of this pressure drop Density of a compressible fluid like steam is a function of pressure and temperature The above input is taken in to computation unit by providing pressure and temperature sensors The steam flow indicated is fully compensated for variation in density due to temperature and pressure variations.
