PASTOR’S COMMENTS As we enter the month of November, our thoughts gravitate to gratitude. We all have so much to be grateful for in this season and year round. We are God's servants and we never know where he's going to lead us. But it's our duty to respond to his call. Neither of our plans a couple of years ago included serving at Faith Presbyterian. But God had other ideas and he called us both here to serve. We are both honored to be members of the Faith family and looking forward to Pastor Brian's ordination. We give thanks for the leadership of Pastor Kay this past year and her willingness to serve and share her enthusiastic spirit with Faith. She provided a smile and help to all she met and the church was blessed to have her as pastor! Pastor Brian is grateful to be here to serve the community of Faith. Becoming the pastor at Faith is a tremendous honor and responsibility. He is ready to work hard to help lead Faith in a new chapter of its wonderful history. These ribbons will be placed on a wooden cross and carried into the sanctuary during worship and then taken to the columbarium after the service to remember those who are interred on the Faith property.

Fry Blvd. HELP WANTED! The Finance Committee needs help! Our ranks have been depleted. You do not need a finance background. We have all learned as we served. Here are our vacancies. Finance Committee- We meet monthly and review monthly statements. We look for trends or hiccups on the horizons. We report to the Session with any concerns or needs that we have noted. Financial Review Committee- Meets several times in the late spring of each year. Reviews selected accounts to ensure that there was proper approval for funds spent, that the records include the approval, any receipts or other documentation. This committee is elected by the congregation. The Nominating Committee is seeking one person for the committee. Weekly Counting- We need at least two counters each week to tabulate the deposits received during the week. The counting duty is shared with enough people to spread the wealth (pardon the pun). We can train interested folks. This is a critical part of our financial management for Faith. Interested? Welcome New Member Susan Powers moved to Sierra Vista with her two children, Laura and Thomas, in 1992. In 1995, Susan began teaching, which she is still doing. Her children left the area and Susan visits her daughter and two grandsons as often as she can. Susan is extremely grateful to Lisa Tuttle for steering her to Faith by her evangelistic efforts.
