Page 6 of 6 WAYFC Newsletter 11U Football “Our WAYFC 11U Midgets took the field this year with a new energy and focus on fundamentals, leadership, teamwork, and pursuit of a championship,” says Head Coach Tim Downing. “Our journey has spanned challenges with learning an all-new playbook; fulfillment as the boys proudly represented the organization at a halftime scrimmage at Heinz Field; perseverance as we worked through tough injuries of key players; and most importantly, resilience as they’ve responded to adversity with unity and commitment. “This is a great group of boys who love the competition. We want them to value their hard work and improvement both as a team and individually,” says Coach Downing. The best is yet to come. We look forward to an exciting and successful playoff run! As we tell the boys, “Never underestimate the heart of a champion.” Good Luck 11U Indians!
