Updates and Comments – From the Board The Long Range / Master Plan for LGCC The Board of Governors along with the Long Range Planning Committee has been speaking about formulating and presenting options / plans around medium and long-term improvements / upgrades to our Club. These options/plans have been developed based upon feedback gathered from our members and what we all are seeing in terms of leading edge and competitive club facilities/ amenities. At this point and in line with our June update, we will shortly begin presenting the options/plans to you for review and feedback. Our plan is to do this in during four Information Sessions in late July followed up by our sending the overview/plans in printed form to your homes and making PDF copies available via the website and for email purposes as well. At the same time you receive the information book – we’ll also be including a Survey/Feedback Form - through which it is our hope that you will provide substantive feedback to the Board/LRP Committee on your thoughts around the options/plans as they stand today. While we know there are imperatives facing LGCC (our pool is reaching the end of its useful life) – nothing is etched in stone and a final plan will absolutely be dependent/influenced by the feedback received. Expect a letter outlining dates and times from the Board/Committee over the next few days. Club Decorum and Treatment of Staff LGCC is nothing if not a family-oriented, collegial and community-oriented club. At the beginning of this year’s term the Board of Governors spent a fair amount of time discussing the idea of decorum in terms of its members - when in and around our Club. Concepts around decent and respectful treatment of staff, language in and around the club and noise overall were among the ideas/standards that were discussed. While incidents and situations are few and far between, a simple reminder – irrespective of the situation “treat your neighbors as you yourself wish to be treated”. If you are disappointed with service or have a concern over a rule or ruling – choose the right forum and tone to make your point or points known – to whoever the right person is. Again – we are a family-oriented and collegial club – in fact, it’s the hallmark of LGCC. Now, you can be disappointed and/or frustrated with a situation or outcome – we’d just ask that the message be delivered in a manner, time and place that is in line with the respectful and collegial approach that LGCC is truly known for. Respectfully, Brian Clarke – President and Your Board of Governors

Short Game Practice Area Etiquette With the golf season in full swing and everyone working on their games, the short game area usage is increasing. A few reminders: Be safe with your practice while other members are in the same area. Please use the collection options to remove practice balls from the green. Don’t swing your wedge on the putting green and don’t walk away without restocking the practice bags. When possible, replace divots to help your practice area heal. Avoid full swing shots that could send a ball flying out of the practice area. Hole in One Accomplishments April 24 – Brian Duffy on Hole #8 May 21 – Dale Haase on Hole #4 (His 10th Ace!) The historic New Market Grange Hall is a frame, 1 % story gable-fronted building, 5 bays in depth. The building is sheathed with German lapped siding; windows are six over six sash.

For 140 years Grange halls have existed as community centers where residents gather for educational events, town meetings, dances, potlucks, and entertainment. Rainbow Grange was founded in1876. The Rosier Grange was founded in 1933. They merged in 1994 when their memberships were waning and upkeep of the substantial building in North Brooksville (now Bill Jagger's carpen-try shop) became too burdensome. The current Rosier Rainbow Grange Hall was built on land donated by Lillian Bakeman around 1940.
