Teachers will access the Assignment Categories in the PowerTeacher Pro Gradebook under the A (Grading) Charm

CMS HIGH SCHOOL ASSIGNMENT CATEGORIES Teachers should not modify any pre-defined assignment category or remove the pre-defined assignment categories from any class Only the Pre-Defined Assignment Categories are configured in the Traditional Grade Calculations Assignment Categories created by teachers will not be calculated in the PT Pro Gradebook or in the Traditional Grade Calculations Assignment categories cannot be deleted when linked to any assignment (current or past)

Teachers may determine the Assignment Category for each assignment. The following table will provide an example of how each Assignment Category is utilized in the PowerTeacher Pro Gradebook. Each Assignment Category is weighted according to the Reporting Term-Traditional Grade Calculations. Any assignment attached to the Assignment Category will determine how the assignment is weighted for the reporting term.
