Meeting Agenda 9-10 Next Board / Membership Meeting Dates, Contacts for Meetings, Programs, Sunshine, Newsletter 11 Mark your calendars for our NEW Christmas Party date – Thursday, December 9. We realized that our previously stated date was in conflict with the AKC Nationals and wanted to try to accommodate everyone. Also, mark your calendars for October 30 at Happy Dogs for our Match. Please try to make our meeting this month. When we have business to attend to, we need a quorum in attendance if there is an issue that needs a vote. Many folks have been absent during the last couple of meetings and we have sent (or are sending) a Survey Monkey to get your feedback. Please participate in the survey. With that being said, we have a great program scheduled this month at our meeting on October 19th at the Hilton. The Breeder’s Support Specialists (affiliated with AKC), will present a program at 7:00 and will stay and answer any questions you may have. Hope to see you there! Till next time, Jeanette

Greenville Kennel Club News Page 5 Members’ Brags Daniel Dunham Today (October 11) is our 52nd Anniversary. It all started 53 years ago when I bought a Gordon Setter from Cheri. We still have two Gordons and I have the love of my life. Shirley Shannon It is now Ch Lensky’s Fireworks at Shandell CGC, PLUS two 5 point majors toward his GCH. Minta (Mike) Williquette Zam had a spectacular weekend at the Augusta KC. Having beauty and brains, he received a 1st (99)and 2nd (100) place in Rally Master and a 4th in Rally Excellent. He then went to the conformation ring and with O’Malley McGee on the lead took BOB with a group 1 both days in Owner Handler.

Greenville Kennel Club News Page 6 Members’ Brags - cont. Thecla Tyner Wow Wow Wow! What a ride our Vizsla Boy “Jamie” has given us! After two years and not being in the show ring since he was a 6 month old puppy, Jamie came out to play again as a 2.5 year old. In the 4 shows with large entries in Greenville he managed to achieve RW/RW/BW/WD to which gave him 9 championship points with both his majors! With one of those Majors being accomplished at the VCC Supported entry! Thanks to Steven Herman and Michael Faulkner for finding our boy for these large major wins! Also thanks to Jane Myers and Jay Richardson for the RW recognition. In Sept he headed out to Raleigh NC, where the competition was slight and picked up 2 more points and a RW for those days he showed. That brings us to the End of September, he was entered in Open Dogs at the Vizsla Club of the Carolinas Regional Specialty. The 1st show, he was awarded another 5 point major by Carol Sommerfelt! This finished he Championship with 3 large major wins! So proud of his accomplishments. CH Ky’s Orange Crush Fantasy CD BN Owned by Tim and Linda Tedrow and Thecla Tyner Bred by and handled by Thecla Tyner Oh there is more! After completing his Title, he was shown as a Move up the next two trials and was chosen by Walter Sommerfelt and Bonnie Linnell Clarke to receive AOM! Stay tuned I am sure there will be more to come!
