SAFETY PRECAUTIONSBefore installing and operating the cooking range, read these instructionscompletely and carefully.IMPORTANT ‐ To be installed only by an authorized person Save these instructions for the local inspectors use. Remove all packaging material and literature from the hotplatebefore connecting the gas and electrical supplies. Additionally note thatthe correct wok trivet must be placed over the Wok burner. The wokburner trivet has a greater gap between the fingers. INSTALLATION – Observe all governing codes e.g. ASNZS 5601, council ordinancesand local authority rules. The range must be installed by an authorised person The range must be electrically groundedTO THE INSTALLER – after connecting the gas supply, turn on the gas and checkfor leaks at all joints with soapy water or other approved methodsUNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE A NAKED FLAME IN CHECKING FOR LEAKSNOT FOR USE IN MARINE CRAFT, CARAVANS OR MOBILE HOME UNLESS EACHBURNERS IS FITTED WITH A FLAME SAFE GUARD6

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONSWARNINGSBefore using the cooker, read the instructions booklet carefully. This contains very importantinformation concerning safety during installation, use and maintenance. The instructionsbooklet must be kept with care for later consultation.Do not use or store flammable materials in the appliance storage drawer or near thisappliance.Do not spray aerosols in the vicinity of this appliance when it is in operation.Where this appliance is installed in a marine craft or in caravans, it shall not be used as aspace heater.Do not modify this appliance. If the hotplate fails to operate correctly, contact Eurolinx Pty ltd or their appointed agent forservice.DO NOT ATTEMPT REPAIRS YOURSELF; repairs and servicing shall only be carried out byAuthorised Personnel. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have beengiven supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible fortheir safety.Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.Never place unsteady or deformed pans on the burners or on the electric hotplates as theycould overturn accidentally. When placing pans on the hob, always ensure that the handlesare facing inward so that there is no risk of knocking against them. When the cooker is not in use, ensure that all knobs are exactly in position “ / ο”Never leave the hotplate switched on without a pan on it, otherwise it will reach a very hightemperature quickly and the cooker or furniture in the vicinity could be damaged.7

OPERATING THE GAS TOPLIGHTING BURNERS – simply press the knob in, turn anti‐clockwise to maximum, the electronicigniter will spark and ignite the burner. Check that the gas has been lit; if the burner fails toignite repeat the above process. For models with Flame Failure follow the above procedure but keep the knob fully depressedfor up to 10 seconds after ignition to allow the safety to lock in. Check that the gas has been lit;if the burner fails to ignite repeat the above process. If the burner still fails to ignite, a match or lighting device can be used, but care must be taken. If the problem persists, contact Eurolinx Pty Ltd or their appointed agent for service.DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES, ALLOW HOB TO COOL BEFORE WIPING SPILLAGE.Keep igniters dry.8

PRACTICAL HINTS FOR USEWARNINGDo not use pots which exceed the width of the trivet (the trivet is the frame with fingers thatthe pot sits on). If pot size exceeds the edge of the trivet, flames could cause damage to worksurfaces either side of the burner. Do not use pots which are too small for the burner size, they become unstable on the trivet.Always use a vessel for cooking that is appropriate in size for the size of burner. Never usepots that are too small or too large. For wok cooking it is recommended that a domestic sizewok, no larger than 400mm in diameter be used.Always use the small pot trivet for pots with a base smaller than 100mm.Use a strong flame to bring liquids to boil, seal meat and generally for all food which must becooked rapidly i.e. when using a wok.Use a low flame for sauces or stews.Do not cook food over too strong a heat. Boiling food fast does not cook any faster butviolently stirs up the food causing it to lose flavour.9

TEPANYAKI PLATEFigure 1A cooking trayB drip trayC exhaust flue for combustion fumeshe Fry‐Top is composed of a special stainless steel plate (8mm thick), specially designed to havetemperatures evenly distributed over the whole surface so that you can utilise the completecooking surface. The plate also has hygienic advantages.Another advantage is the high heat accumulation of the plate, with very low heat loss. To usethe appliance, light the flame below the plate by means of the corresponding knob (see“Lighting the burners”) and ensure that the flame is burning.Leave the knob in this position for about 10 minutes at the most and wait for the plate to heatup. Once this period has elapsed, the plate is ready to start cooking.By adjusting the flame, there is no limit to your culinary imagination. If you turn the knob tominimum, you can do slow cooking or types of cooking in which you want to maintain theorganic properties of the foods. Higher temperatures are suitable for cooking meat, fish andvegetables. The Fry‐Top plate is ideal for Japanese Tepanyaki cooking: the special lid needed for this type ofOriental cooking is available as an optional accessory. Some models are supplied with the spatula shown in above, which is useful for both cookingand for cleaning the plate.10

SIMMER PLATEUse of the Coup FeuThe large “Coup feu” solid cast iron plate made of concentric rings allows you to rest the pan(or even several pans) directly on the surface (fig. B, C). it is heated by means of a gas burner(fig. A). the plate is designed to provide a moderately intense heat which is well distributed overthe surface. This is ideal for slow cooking and particularly for sauces, browning and grilling, heating dishes or keeping them warm. Switch the burner on 15/20 minutes before use to allowthe cast iron plate to accumulate heat. You will then be able to use the plate even whenswitched off for a further 10/15 minutes. The middle of the plate is the area where the highesttemperatures are reached whereas the outer part is cooler. By simply moving the pan from themiddle to the outside of the plate, you can obtain different cooking intensities withoutregulating the flame. Pan dimensions permitting, several dishes can be cooked at the same time(fig. C). if necessary it can be used as a handy top, providing ample space for resting pots andpans.Cleaning the CoupThe hotplate should be cleaned while still warm using the products normally used in the kitchenfor metal surfaces. Rub with a wire pad, following the direction of the satin finish. Dry wellimmediately. If you want to give the plate a better appearance, after cleaning, apply a coat ofSupercromo paste. If you do not intend to use the hotplate for long periods, after normal cleaning apply a thin filmof liquid paraffin (Vaseline oil) with a wad of cotton wool. This treatment is necessary to12

prevent any formation of surface oxides. When next turning on the plate you will notice theevaporation of the paraffin oil used. This phenomenon will disappear in a few seconds. The hotplate may sometimes present phenomena of surface oxidation due to the presence ofhumidity, but above all due to lack of use. You are therefore advised to use it frequently toprevent any oxidation. Never leave the hotplate damp. If the oxidation phenomenon stillappears, use lightly abrasive paper to remove the oxidation, taking care to rub gently, always inthe direction of the plate satin finish.Do not cook food directly on the plate surface. Always use suitable containers.ELECTRIC BARBECUE13

The Lava Stone BBQ allows you BBQ meats and fish with out the use of oils. The lava stones placed under the electric element enables a constant temperature (250 C) andthe absorption of fats without smell and vapor. The grid, tray and lava stones are easilyremovable for the cleaning. Before turning on the appliance, check that all parts are well installed. To turn on the BBQ rotate the knob to the desired setting between “1” and “12”; the indicatorlight will be illuminated, indicating that the appliance is working. When the knob is turned tothe “0” position the appliance is turned OFF and the indicator light will go out.Important: To grill, we recommend pre‐heating the grill element and lava stones forapproximately 10 minutes on position “12”, this allows the lava stones to reach the requiredtemperature to vapourise the fats and liquids from the meat to enhance the flavour of theproduce being cooked.Cooking TableTable for grilling on lava stonesDishesPositionTimein min.Sausages1213Steaks1212Hamburgers1214Filet steak128Liver125Lamb cutlets128Chicken steaks129Chicken drumsticks1217Sliced salmon1210Trout1212Trout cooked in foil1230‐35CLEANING AND CARING FOR YOUR LAVA GRILLSee the section on caring for your freestanding range14

CERAMIC ELECTRIC HOT PLATEINSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE ELECTRIC PLATEThe vitreous ceramic electric plate (5) is controlled by a knob (as above energy regulator). Apilot light comes on as soon as the heating element is activated. The control knob is gradedfrom 0 to 12. Position 0 indicates that the corresponding cooking area is switched off. Position 1indicated that the corresponding cooking area is at the minimum power, while position 12indicates that the cooking area is at maximum power. The energy regulator controls the cooking area with two circuits (5). When the knob is turnedclockwise from position (off) to the desired position (1‐12), the primary part of the cooking areais switched on. To switch on the secondary part, turn the knob to position 12 and then turn itpast position 12 as far as it will go in a clockwise direction. At this point the secondary circuitswitches on too and it is possible to regulate the power from 1 to 12 (1 minimum, 12 maximum)RESIDUAL HEAT WARNING LIGHTSThere is a residual heat warning light (Q) on vitreous ceramic hob. Its purpose is to increase thesafety of the appliance because when it is lit it indicates that the cooking area is still very hot.The residual heat warning light stays lit even after the cooking area has been switched off towarn you that it is still hot.15

Important: The ceramic hob cooking surface remains hot for a long time after use. Do not touchthe hob with your hands or let children near it. The residual heat indicator will remain lit untilthe hob has cooled down.If any cracks appear in the ceramic hot, disconnect the appliance immediately from the mainsand call an authorized technical service centreELECTRIC HOTPLATEFor efficient use and low energy consumption, it is advised to use pans specifically designed forelectric cooking on ceramic hobs. The bottom of the pan must be thick and flat. Its diametermust be as similar as possible to that of the cooking ring. The surface of the hob and thebottom of the pan must be kept clean.A – Do not leave the hotplate switched on without a panB – Do not wet or overheat the platesC – Avoid sudden changes of temperature on the ceramic hob. For example, do not pour coldwater onto the hot hob.D – Ensure that the pan covers the whole cooking area.E – The bottom of the pan must be flat and dry so as to use less energy and keep your ceramichob in good condition.F – Do not leave the pan handles sticking out as they could be spilled accidentally.G – Do not forget that the cooking area remains hot for quite a long time even after it has beenswitched off.Make intelligent use of this characteristic by switching off the cooking area a few minutesbefore completing cooking. The residual heat that has been accumulated in the ceramic willthus enable you to complete cooking without using more electric power.H – It is preferable not to cook on the ceramic hob with pans that have been used on gasburners. The flames will have deformed the bottom of the pans.16

OPERATING – ELECTRIC OVEN AND GRILLIMPORTANTWhen the oven or grill is being used for the first time, you need to burn off the productionresidues from the elements. To do this, turn the oven temperature to 250C and select cookingmode 2 and allow to burn in for 15 minutes. Repeat this process for functions 5 and 8. Ifpossible, leave the window of the kitchen open. This will allow the smells of productionresiduals such as greases, oils and resins to dissipate. After this, the oven and grill will be readyfor their first use in cooking.Cooking in your new Oven will need some adjustment to your cooking times and techniques. Soas you can obtain the best results, please read the following.Your Oven has the capacity to cook large quantities of baked foods. Use the optional ILVE Breadand Pizza Stone available from your Retailer. This will ensure perfect cooking results. When cooking in the oven on wire shelves remove the enamel tray. Use the enamel tray, fittedwith the wire grid, when cooking meat to collect the fat and meat juices.OPERATING ELECTRIC OVENSimply select the oven function required from the multi function oven and then select thedesired temperature.DO NOT TOUCH HOT SURFACES, ALLOW OVEN / GRILL TO COOL BEFORE WIPING SPILLAGE.PRACTICAL HINTS FOR USEGood results can be obtained with a cold oven for anything that requires long slow cooking butgenerally a pre‐heated oven is recommended. The use of the oven in fan forced mode utilisesheat more efficiently and it is recommended that all cooking temperatures be decreased by upto 20 C.Minimise the amount of cooking oil, to reduce spattering in the oven.Allow the grill to preheat for 2 – 3 minutes before cooking meat.TIMER AND ROTISSERIEControls for these functions are located on the control panel.18

TIMEROn the mechanical timer turn the knob fully to the right before returning the knob to therequired time (60 minutes is the maximum time). When the selected time has elapsed, the bellwill ring for a few seconds. On models fitted with the digital timer press the appropriate button to achieve the desiredtime. When the selected time has elapsed, a tone will sound until deactivated.ROTISSERIERemove the oven shelves. Remove the wire grid from the grill tray and fit the rotisserie frame.Fit the grill tray in the lowest shelf position.Place the meat on the spit by pushing the skewer through the meat using the pointed end. Turnthe spit in your hands, and if necessary, reposition the spit in the meat until it feels balanced.Refit the skewer and push both skewers firmly into the meat. Tighten the skewer thumbscrews.Remove the plastic handle and fit the spit in the frame with the pointed end engaged in themotor drive.Select Static grill (mode 5 ) and turn temperature knob from 175 C ‐ 200 C. We recommendchecking the progress of your rotisserie every 30 minutes.19

OPERATING ‐ GAS OVEN AND GAS ROTISSERIEIMPORTANTWhen the oven or grill is being used for the first time, you need to burn off the productionresidues from the grill element. To do this, turn the knob marked 1 – 12 all the way to 12 andallow to burn in for 15 minutes. Then you need to burn off the oven. To light your oven see“lighting oven” below. You need to burn your oven in for approximately 30 minutes. If possible, leave the window of the kitchen open. This will allow the smells of production residuals such asgreases, oils and resins to dissipate. After this, the oven and grill will be ready for their first usein cooking. The Oven is not fan forced but uses rapid draught natural hot air circulation within the Oven. This is the most efficient heating system for Gas Ovens. The Oven has a base burner situatedunder the oven floor. This is the same type of heating system that is used in commercialcookers. It is different to those used by other domestic ovens that use a burner situated at therear of the oven. With ILVE Gas Ovens more heat is generated at the bottom and less at the topof the Oven, thus the top shelf being slightly cooler. This is the reverse of the heat stratificationor layering in other ovens. The temperature variation from one shelf position to the next is notgreat so you can batch bake on two shelves at the same time without a marked difference incooking time or degree of browning. However, always remember the hottest part of the Ovenwill be at the lowest shelf position, shelf number 1. Experiment with different shelf positions toobtain the best results.LIGHTING OVEN BURNEROpen the oven door fully. Simply press the thermostat knob in, turn to the left to maximum andkeep the knob firmly pressed for up to 15 seconds (while the flame safe guard devi

INSTALLATION – Observe all governing codes e.g. ASNZS 5601, council ordinances and local authority rules. The range must be installed by an authorised person The range must be electrically grounded TO THE INSTALLER – after connecting the gas
