Turkish Bazaar Quilt4d"TD3. Position a triangle on the cut corner of a rectangle from Step 1,aligning edges. Sew in a scant 4" seam allowance. Sew trianglesto the corners where needed to make the number of blocksshown. The blocks should measure 92" x 112". If they areslightly different, trim all blocks and Fabric A rectangles to thesame size. DBlock X – Make 24d"T5d"CU4. Referring to the Quilt Diagram, arrange the blocks and Fabric Arectangles in 5 rows of 5 blocks each. Stand back to be certainthat the blocks are turned in the correct orientation. Once youare satisfied with the design, sew the blocks in rows, and thenjoin the rows. CU4d"Block Y – Make 24d"5d"TCU5d"CUT4d" CU4d"4d"5d"TCUTB5d"D5d"TD5. Sew black borders to the sides, and then to the top and bottom.6. Fussy-cut the Fabric C borders crosswise from thesame part of the print. It doesn’t matter where youcut as long as all strips are the same. Join strips tomake the lengths needed, matching the print sothe design looks continuous. Sew the bordersto the quilt, starting and stopping stitching4" from the quilt’s raw edge. Miter thecorners and trim the excessE5d"5d"CUT4d"CU2. Make an acrylic pattern of the full-size corner template. Cut offthe tips as shown. This will make alignment much easier in Step3. Draw around the template on Fabric E with a sharp whitepencil. Cut 14 triangles from Fabric E; turn the template overand cut 14 reversed triangles from Fabric E.Block Z – Make 1Finishing the Quilt42"7. Layer the quilt with batting and backingand baste. Quilt in the ditch aroundborders and block patches. Quilt aroundthe printed motifs as desired.
