INSTALLING THE AX-AM-GM91 Remove the 20-pin connector from the radio module*, then connect the male plug from the20-pin “T” harness into the radio module. (Figure A)* Refer to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and radio module location list. Connect the factory male factory connector into the female plug from the 20-pin “T” harness. Connect the 20-pin “T” harness into the AX-AM-GM91 interface. Connect the 2-pin connector from the 20-pin “T” harness to the 2-pin connector from the 16pin “T” harness. Remove the 16-pin connector from the Human Machine Interface (HMI) module*, then connectthe male plug from the 16-pin “T” harness into the HMI module. (Figure B)* Refer to the Human Machine Interface (HMI) and radio module location list. Connect the factory male factory connector into the female plug from the 16-pin “T” harness. Connect the 16-pin “T” harness into the AX-AM-GM91 interface. If adding an HDMI input to the factory radio, connect the 3.5mm extension cable to the 16-pin“T” harness, and then to the vehicles 3.5mm AUX-IN jack. Remove the USB connector from the Blue receptacle in the HMI module, then connect it to theLVDS (video) to USB cable. Connect the LVDS (video) to USB cable into the AX-AM-GM91 interface. Connect the 6-pin to USB cable into the HMI module, and then into the AX-GM91 interface. Connect the 10-pin harness with RCA jacks into the AX-AM-GM91 interface.(Figure A)Continued on the next page(Figure B)4

USER GUIDEButton Configuration The factory “HOME KEY” button will be used to operate the AX-AM-GM91.HDMI access Select AUX-IN as a source from the factory radio. Press hold the “HOME KEY” button for 2 seconds to switch between the factory screen andthe AX-AM-GM91 screen. Press the top right corner of the screen to disable the video-in-motion warning message.Front camera access Ensure dip switch 2 is selected to “ON”. Press the top right corner of the screen to activate the front camera.6Rear camera access The backup camera will automatically activate while the vehicle is in reverse gear. Deselecting the reverse gear will activate the front camera, if installed and dip switch 2 isselected to “ON”.Note: This camera takes priority over HDMI mode, and front camera mode. But will not deactivate thefront camera. Press the top right corner of the screen, or drive over 10 mph, to cancel front camera mode.View Version Number Press and hold the “HOME KEY” button for 8 seconds to enter the firmware information screen.
