Since its launchin fall 2012, the Mission Maker Campaign has provided 233,561 in funding for 122 projects.PARTNERS IN DIABETES CAREEMPOWERING COMMUNITIES TOREDUCE HEALTH DISPARITIESThe project is designed to be a community-based,sustainable model of diabetes self-managementeducation, training and support for residents of SouthCentral Los Angeles and the surrounding communities.PARTNERSHIP 4 PROGRESS20 high school juniors attending high school in SPA 6are chosen and provided a CDU mentor from the Collegeof Science and Health, School of Nursing or the Collegeof Medicine. Participating students receive assistancewith the college admissions process, including personalstatement writing in addition to information on careers inthe health field through workshops provided.
