Forexample, a 1-hour in-service would be worth 1 CERP; aneducation program that awarded 6 contact hours, 6 CEs, 6CMEs or 6 CNEs would be worth 6 CERPs.CERPs are not awarded for registration,introductions, breaks, lunch, clinical time orcompletion of certification exams.Synergy CERPs LogsLogs are available in your renewal handbookand online. Certificants who successfullycomplete CCRN or PCCN renewal shouldcontinue to keep personal records of CERPactivities for at least 3 years from theirscheduled renewal date to submit if selectedfor audit.Visit www.aacn.org/synergycerpsFor academic credit courses, one (1) creditis worth 15 CERPs. Examples of How to Document CERPsIf contents of a program fall into more than one category, the content that makes up the majority ofthe program should be used to determine the category for awarding of CERPs. If content is equallydivided between two categories, you may select the category in which to award CERPs.Learning Topics:3CE/CNE/CME - Copy of certificate that has your name, date(s) of attendance, title of courseand contact hours.3In–service/Program not providing CEs - If the program was not formally granted contact hours(e.g., hospital or unit in-services), submit written verification of attendance, including name ofparticipant, date(s) of attendance, title of course and hours of course (minus breaks and lunch),signed by educator or course director.3ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP - Please provide documentation of hours, with course date(s) and title, yourname and signature of a educator, course director or supervisor, so the total number of CERPs maybe calculated.
