ACCA SubjectsACCA is a comprehensive program inwhich emphasis is placed on both thefinancial management skills andmanagement strategies for decisionmakers. Thus, participation in theprogram expands the professionalknowledge of employees while at thesame time reduces the additional cost oftraining borne by the employer.Course participants gain knowledge at anadvanced level, including: ProfessionalOptional ProfessionalEssentialF4Corporateand The number of training days differsbetween papers. ACCA ExaminationsEach ACCA paper has one exam. Theexamination sessions are organiseddirectly by ACCA and take place twice ayear, in June and December throughoutthe world.The examinations as well as the coursesare conducted in English. The tables onpages 8-12 show the structure andcontent of the syllabus.Exemptions fromexaminationsGraduates of economics, accounting orrelated degrees at Bachelor or Masterlevel may apply for ACCA exemptionsfrom the first nine exams (F1 to F9). Listof colleges and courses accredited byACCA is published on the tutionsTable.jspxApplicants to the program can instantlysee which items will receive a waiver.Tax advisors receive an exemption fromthe subject F6.Those who have a certificate of passing10 exams for Polish Statutory Auditorcan receive an exemption from all partsof Fundamentals (F1 to F9).Exemptions are possible only in theFundamentals level. No exemptions aregranted in the professional section.What EY Academy ofBusiness offerOur courses are intensive and arespecially designed to help the candidateapply examination technique.We believe that when candidates startthe ACCA programme it is essential thatthey get a strong grounding in Financialand Management Accounting byattending our intensive courses in papersF2 and F3.The intensive introductory coursesprepare participants very well for theF2 and F3 examinations.The usual structure of courses (with theexception of papers F2 and F3) is a oneor two-day introductory course (normallyat weekends) to put candidates intocontext. A few weeks later there is a twoday mid-term course. Before the examthere is a longer revision course duringwhich the candidates practise examquestions. One month before the exam,candidates take our Mock Exam (aPractice Exam ). This is conducted underexam conditions and its purpose is togive the candidates feedback before thereal exam.Structure of the course: Module 1: one- or two-dayintroductory training, in whichparticipants practise exam tasksusing their newly acquiredknowledge. Self-study manuals andtraining materials to be used athome are distributed.Module 2: a two-day refreshercourse supplementing theknowledge gained in module 1.Usually organized in two or threeweeks before the Mock Exam.Mock exam: five or six weeksbefore the exam, all ACCA courseparticipants take a trial exam,which is designed to test theirexisting knowledge and their skill ofexamination technique. The samerules apply as in the real exam. It isthe best exercise before the actualexam.Module 3: attention is focused onthe more difficult subjects whilecontinuing the practicing at thelevel of the examination; drillingdown to the detail and reviewingknowledge and exam technique.Hot-line: participants are inconstant contact with their trainersvia e-mail in order to have supportfor their home study.During the course, we provide: energydonuts in the morning, sandwiches atnoon and tea/coffee throughout theday.A detailed schedule of our courses isshown on page 7.
