MOEL – HRD KoreaAnnouncement of Test of Proficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK)According to the MOU on the Sending of Workers between the Ministry ofEmployment and Labor of the Republic of Korea (MOEL) and Department ofLabor and Employment of the Philippines (DOLE), the 9th Test ofProficiency in Korean (EPS-TOPIK) in Philippines is to be conducted asfollows.All job seekers who want to work in Korea under the Employment PermitSystem should pass the EPS-TOPIK, implemented by the Human ResourcesDevelopment Service of Korea (HRD Korea) authorized by the MOEL, andonly those who passed the test are allowed to submit the job application formfor EPS.June 3, 2013Held by: Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea (MOEL)Implemented by: Human Resources Development Service of Korea(HRD Korea)In cooperation with: Department of Labor and Employment of the Philippines (DOLE)and Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) Test Date and Time: August 11, 2013 (Sunday) 10:30 11:40 (Session 1), 15:00 16:10 (Session 2) All examinees must be in the designated test room until the designated time (09:30 for thesession 1, 14:00 for the session 2 ) for the orientation. Available Type of Industry: Manufacturing All applicants of 9th EPS-TOPIK can only choose ‘Manufacturing’, for selection of the typeof industry. Choice of other type of industry is not allowed. The Expected Number of Examinees: 2,800 persons Expected number of passers can be changed according to the circumstances of EPS. Test Venue: Test venues will be announced on July 19, 2013 on POEA website( www.poea.gov.ph ) Qualifications for EPS-TOPIK Registration Must be between 18 and 38 years of age (Born between July 2, 1975 and July 1, 1995)

Female applicants are restricted to register this time due to slow demand. Must not have any record of conviction or imprisonment for a heinous crime Must have no record of deportation or departure orders from the Republic of Korea Must not be restricted from departure from the Philippines Registration Procedure Period: July 2 (Tuesday) to July 5 (Fri.), 2013 (For 4 days)- Registration Time: 9:00 am to 5:00 pmA Daily Schedule based on Alphabetical Order of Family Name or Last Name to follow. Registration Region: Metro Manila, La Union, Cebu and Davao※ Registration venue per Region will be announced later on POEA website.※ Applicant must register only in the registration venue where he/she wants to take the test. Registration Method: Personal appearance Required Documents- EPS-TOPIK Registration Application form (To be distributed at the registration venue)※ Application numbers are written on each application form. Each applicant receives andsubmits one application form only, use correction tape in correcting errors.- Valid passport or valid SSS UMID (a copy must be attached on application form)※ If an applicant’s personal information on the passport is not exactly the same as the one onthe application form, their entry to Korea will not be permitted in any case, and theapplicant is fully responsible for any problem caused by the differences in their personalinformation.※ We will use the personal information (name, date of birth, and gender) written on theapplication form and the applicant’s photo attached on the application form for theirfuture employment in Korea, and these are not changeable in any case.- 2 pcs. passport size (pictures taken within 3 months) Test fee: peso equivalent to USD24※ No refund will be entertained after registration period. (However, re-application aftercancellation is not allowed.)

Passing standard: Passers (for each industry) will be selected based on the test result (fromthe top scorer) among those who scored more than 80 points (Full score: 200 points)Items to prepare on the test day- Admission Ticket (which is issued during registration)- Passport or SSS UMID card (must bring the same passport or ID card submitted during theregistration)※ No applicant is allowed to take the test without passport or ID card and TestPermit- Felt tip pen or ballpen (only black ink)※ Except the above mentioned pen, marking an answer sheet with other pens(pencil or blue color ballpen etc.) can be regarded as wrong answer.※ One (1) answer sheet will be distributed to each applicant only once and anyreplacement or correction is not allowed. Besides, correction of answers on the answersheet with correction fluid or tape can be regarded as wrong answer. Method of Announcement of Test result- Home Page of the Employment Permit System (http://www.eps.go.kr) Period of Validity of test score (for passers): 2 years from the date of test resultannouncement Other Information On the test day, mobile phones, cassette players, PDA, MP3 player, electronic dictionaries,and other electronic devices which are possibly used in cheating during the test are highlyprohibited for applicants to bring to the test venue. If the examinee has or use them in the testvenue, he/she will be regarded as cheater. Test will be void, and examinees will NOT be eligible for taking the EPS-TOPIK for 2 years,in case of cheating during the test. If an applicant’s personal information on the passport is not exactly the same as the one onthe application form (name, date of birth, and gender), their registration to the EPS jobseekers’ roster and entry to Korea is not permitted in any case, and the applicant is fullyresponsible for any problem caused by the differences in their personal information. According to MOU between the Ministry of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Koreaand the Department of Labor and Employment of the Philippines (DOLE), only PhilippineOverseas Employment Administration (POEA) has the legal authority to send Filipino workersto the Republic of Korea. Only the job seekers who passed the EPS-TOPIK and registered onthe roster by POEA can be hired by Korean Employers. Involvement of any other privatesector in the procedure for sending workforce is strictly prohibited. It costs USD24 (or peso equivalent amount) for an applicant to take EPS-TOPIK and only thecertain amount of money noticed officially as a sending cost by POEA during the registrationperiod of a job application form will cost you for entering Korea under the EPS. Besides,except POEA, any other agency or person is not allowed to be related to employmentprocedures of EPS. For this reason, all applicants should be aware of this fact and protectthemselves from any damages or losses caused by anyone or any other unscrupulous personsmaking a false proposal related to recommendation or employment in Korea under the EPS.
