Asyour needs change over time, theKX–TVM50AL and KX-TVM200ALcan be expanded to keep up withyour increased call traffic. TheKX-TVM50AL comes equippedwith 2 ports, capable of handling2 calls at once. This entry levelsystem is ready to satisfy smallscale voice mail needs right outof the box and can be expanded to6 ports, handling 6 calls at once.Recording time can also be doubledby adding a KX-TVM524 4-HourRecording Time Expansion Card.The larger-scale KX-TVM200AL canbe expanded to 24 ports, handling24 calls at once. Recording timeis an incredible 1000 hours.Custom ServiceUsing Custom Service, you cangive callers 1-digit access todepartment extensions, specialannouncements and otherinformation. STANDARD FUNCTIONSVoice Mail ServiceMessage Waiting NotificationThe KX-TVM50AL provides 64password-protected mailboxes whilethe KX-TVM200AL provides 1024.When callers reach your mailbox,they can hear a personal greetingthat you recorded and then leavea message. You can also set thesystem to automatically forwardmessages to a back-up mailbox,if desired.This feature tells you when a callerhas left a message in your mailbox.It can notify you in any of three ways:Automated Attendant ServiceAnswers incoming calls androutes the caller to the appropriateextension or department.Interview ServiceThe KX-TVM50AL and KX-TVM200ALcan provide a kind of “interviewservice”. You can record up to 10questions and set the system upso that when someone calls, heor she is sent to the questionand-answer mailbox. The systemwill ask the questions and thenrecord the caller’s answers. This isideal for such uses as taking mailorders, screening job applicants orconducting surveys. By lighting the “message waiting”lamp on your telephone. By sending a message to yourbeeper, either telling you to callyour mailbox or actually providingthe caller’s number. By calling you at a telephonenumber you specified in advance.Multilingual Voice PromptsYou can program Multilingual VoicePrompts. The opening greetingcan be set to let the caller choose alanguage and you can even programdifferent incoming phone lines to beanswered in different languages. It’sa great feature for global businesses.Direct Mailbox AccessAutomatic Message Forward /Copy MessageIf messages have not been “pickedup” after a specified period of time,the system can be programmedto automatically move or copy themessage to another mailbox.Holiday ServiceThe system can play specialgreetings for holidays and specialservice settings can be programmed.Playback Volume / Speed ControlSubscribers can change playbackvolume or speed while listeningto messages.Fax DetectionWhen a port receives a fax call andfax tones are detected, the systemwill automatically transfer the call tothe designated fax extension.Mailbox owners can retrieve newmessages simply by calling fromyour extension or pre-registeredtelephone number. For example, when animportant customer rings, you canforward their call directly to yourcompany’s key contact, have callsfrom your client in Paris forwardedto a mailbox with a greetingmessage in French or have callsfrom family members or friendssent to a private Custom Servicemenu just for them. If any of them callswhile you’re away from your desk,they will automatically be sent to themailbox with the German message.Intercom PagingNotifies you of an incoming call, evenif your extension is unanswered.
