Application ProcessWith anywhere from 300-500 applications in-house theprocess can take 60-90 days from receipt by SOLE! Applicants from other than the United States must be current students at the US Army LogisticsUniversity (ALU) at the time of application; or documented BOLC/CLC3/TLog grads. Award Letter The Army functional proponent – notSOLE – determines what qualifies forpromotion points. Upon award, all US Army designationrecipients will receive a letter that providesinstructions on how to enter the applicabledesignation code on the Officer RecordBrief or Enlisted Record Brief. The individual – not ALU or SOLE – issolely responsible for submission of theaward for inclusion in his/her personnelrecords.Keep a copy of the letter and certificatefor future posting extensions. Non-US awardees will receive the SOLE(rather than the US Army) pin. Pins for all others will be issued uponseparation from active service, uponrequest. The award does not expire. You areentitled to use the highest level of awardeddesignation your entire career.January 20175
