The SenZar Solar SystemMerkarri, the First PlanetSilestion, the SunRadius: 3,321 miles.Radius: 444,888 miles.Solar Revolution: 0.22 years.Average Distance from SenZar: 99,000,000 miles.Mass: 5.23 X 1026 kg.Mass: 2.14x1030 kg.Composition: Merkarri is composed primarily of silicon, silicon dioxide, and iron.Composition: Silestion is composed primarily ofhydrogen and helium, with traces of most knownelements and some exotics, notably Solara.Origin of Name: Named first in recorded history by theSilestion race, who revere the celestial body as aphoenix-like reincarnation of their own homeworld'sannihilated sun, Silestion has, through the years, becomethe common name for the star of the SenZar solarsystem.Pacts or Magicks: None, per se, though the star iscapable of producing several exotics, including Solara.Special: A notable moment in Silestion's historyoccurred at the start of the Fourth Age when LordValthrustra, with a casual wave of his hand, caused thewarm golden hue of Silestion to fade to a dismal, slowlythrobbing black. During the 1,000 years of his reign ofterror, the "Phoenix" was banished to the Void, and nosunlight shined down on SenZar. (At least none thatmortals could see; SenZar still managed to survive thissunless, Void Moon-burning era, even with an allegedly"black" sun. Most sages speculate that Lord Valthrustrasimply polarized SenZar's atmosphere to the golden lightof Silestion, causing it to appear black. Still, there is anagging thought that the King of Hate actually didchange the color of the star by "banishing the Phoenix,"though none but the greatest of the gods still alive fromthat time can know what truly happened.)Average Distance from Silestion: 42,000,000 miles.Atmosphere: None.Satellites: 0.Origin of Name: Merkarri was named in honor of theancient Solarr champion, Merkarr'i, who was hailed as theswiftest flier of their mighty race. With the notableexception of SenZar, whose name was already inexistence, the names of the planets were codified andstandardized by Jacoor Thrax, the first Overlord ofZengara, the Forever City, during the first year of hisreign. Though not an Astromancer himself, Jacoor Thrax, through his secret communion with The Dragon, realizedthat it was necessary to "name" the planets, in order forthe magicks of Astromancy to become realized. Thenames of ancient champions, many of them from theoriginal homeworlds from which the denizens of SenZarhailed, were used, as their names were already imprintedon the collective memories of the majority of the people;and with their names came power.Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Those on the surface of Merkarri will take 1d100points of hardcore radiation damage per combat round.

Vena, the Second PlanetHel, the Fourth PlanetRadius: 5,829 miles.Radius: 6,356 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 66,000,000 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 133,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 0.56 years.Solar Revolution: 1.77 years.27Mass: 2.23 X 10 kg.Mass: 4.14 X 1027 kg.Composition: Vena is composed primarily of silicon, silicon dioxide, and iron, with a trace of several othersilicoid compounds.Composition: Hel is composed primarily of silicon, silicon dioxide, sulfur, sulfur dioxide, and iron.Atmosphere: Very little; primarily gaseous statesilicoids burning off from solar bombardment. Toxic tomost sentients.Satellites: 0.Origin of Name: Vena was named in honor of the preFirst Age Starin champion of justice, Vena Dys-Sylvana.Vena was, according to legend, the "lady of light," whoseheroic actions during the first Weirding Wars finallyrepulsed the invading demonic forces at the second andfinal Battle of Ganath. Rumor has it that she was noneother than the paramour of Jacoor Thrax himself, andthat her selfless sacrifice of her own soul to save theworld moved him to honor her memory forever bynaming the most beautiful planet after her.Pacts or Magicks: None. Legend has it, however, thatany spell of love cast upon the rising of Vena in theeastern pre-dawn sky will have a most potent effect.Special: Those on the surface of Vena will take 1d20points of hardcore radiation damage per combat round.Atmosphere: Heavy concentrations of sulfur dioxide.Poisonous to most sentients.Satellites: 3 ("Hammer", "Anvil," and "Dross").Origin of Name: Hel is named for the ancient Khazakmaster of the Vulcan Forge, Jerrek Hel, who forged themighty weapons of war which gave the SenZar defendersthe edge in the first Weirding War. Considered by many tobe the first Soulforger realized on SenZar, Jerrek Hel isnow considered by many Khazak sages to have ascendedunto the ranks of the Grim Grey Gods, only to bedestroyed in the 222nd year of the Fourth Age by Skurgehimself.Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Those on the surface of Hel will take 1d10points of acidic damage per combat round.

Titan, the Fifth PlanetRadius: 99,768 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 555,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 999.99 years.Mass: 9.39 X 1029 kg.Composition: Titan is composed primarily of superdense helium and hydrogen, with traces of Zidrae foundon the surface near the boundary of the gravitic torus(see below).Atmosphere: All atmosphere lies within the gravitictorus surrounding the planet. High concentrations ofmethane, sulfur, helium, and hydrogen compete withcaptured cometary bodies within the raging, chaoticgravitic torus.Satellites: 18 (Variable number of satellites, as most areeventually destroyed even as new satellites are captured;satellites are collectively referred to as "Titan'sChosen.")Origin of Name: The name is the transliteration of theoriginal Silesian, Tyt'N, the father of Warhawk, SupremeGod of War. Legend states that Tyt'N was the strongestSilestion ever. Nothing was capable of surviving hismighty grasp. During the original purge of the DeathHorde from SenZar, the single Annihilator-class DeathHorde vessel in the SenZar sector, the Nemesis (refer tothe planetary body "Nemesis" for more information),attempted one last desperate ploy to destroy the SenZarsolar system before their mighty vessel itself wasdestroyed. The Horde, attempting to initiate a singularitywithin the heart of the planet (a singularity which wouldeventually yet irrevocably plunge the solar system intoutter destruction), caused the planet's atmosphere toignite and burn away in a conflagration of terribleproportions. The Horde's dreaded Singularity Generatorthen was brought to bear on the horribly mutilatedplanet. However, the Horde was thwarted during thefinal stage of this cosmic blasphemy by the defenders ofSenZar, and the singularity failed to manifest completely. The final-stage singularity, unable to wreak its fulldestructive might, nonetheless transformed the planetinto a massive gravitic well, its gravitic torus theincomplete manifestation of the doomed singularity.Escape from the torus surrounding Titan is virtuallyimpossible, save by means of a Master Warp (see"Special" below). Historians note that the naming of theplanet was hailed by the Silestions as a sign of Tyt'N'slegacy restored.Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Any celestial body within 10,000,000 miles ofTitan will be drawn irrevocably into its gravitic torus, tobe completely destroyed by gravitic shearing within1d20 months. Conventional propulsion will allow anescape from this danger zone. However, once a celestialbody approaches within 1,000,000 miles of Titan, itcannot escape save by means of a Master Warp, orprimal magicks.

Kronos, the Sixth PlanetBlackmyre, the Seventh PlanetRadius: 66,112 miles.Radius: 32,984 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 965,000,000 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 1,765,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 30.17 years.Solar Revolution: 88.42 years.28Mass: 6.34 X 10 kg.Mass: 5.78 X 1028 kg.Composition: The core of Kronos is composedprimarily of liquid helium.Composition: Blackmyre is composed of a SenZarstandard core, mantle, and crust.Atmosphere: Heavy concentrations of highly chargedhydrogen, helium, sulfur, and methane, as well as bothnormal and plasma state neon, argon, krypton, and othernoble gases. Heavy electrostatic charges emanating fromthe core cause the noble gases in the atmosphere tospontaneously ignite, causing the planet's bright "neon"glow.Atmosphere: SenZar-standard, with elevated levels ofmethane. Exposure to atmosphere is tolerable to mosthumanoids, though unpleasant, as the surface of theplanet is very much a dimly lit, frozen swamp.Satellites: 16 ("Kyyrok," "Dyybok," "Golomyn," and"Tyranth" are the four largest, with each nearly as largeas the planet Merkarri). Legend states that during theclose of the Fifth Age several adventuring partiesreturned to SenZar from the moon Tyranth, armed withtales of an ancient, abandoned Death Horde base locatedsomewhere along the 30th latitudinal line of its northernhemisphere. Of all the moons of Kronos, it is known thatonly Tyranth holds a marginal SenZar-standardatmosphere, though survival on its fierce subzero surfacewould tax even the most fierce Akir. In fact, exposure toTyranth's extreme cold results in victims taking 1 pointof damage per phase for the duration of their stay.Origin of Name: According to legend, Kronos was acontemporary of Jacoor Thrax, though sages are split asto his true origin. Most conservatively maintain that hewas a simple Human, perhaps the legendary Kronak ofGalth, who served as one of Thrax's viziers during thosedays. Some speculate, however, that the planet wasnamed in honor of an obscure artifact, the Kronos, whichaided the SenZar forces in the routing of the DeathHorde contingent. The truth may lie somewhere betweenthe two, though, as Kronak of Galth was rumored tohave been, however briefly, in command of the Lysefell(see "The Nine Power Foci of The Dragon" in CB2),which is known by one appellation in Druus as the"KAR.O.NOS," or "Kronos."Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Those on Kronos take 1d100 points of hardcoreradiation damage per combat round.Satellites: 14 ("Nyoth," "Vyex," and "Mullik" are thethree largest, with Nyoth nearly as large as the planetMerkarri). All are barren, lifeless worlds, though Vyex isheld by Astromancers to contain large concentrations ofVermix.Origin of Name: Blackmyre was named for DargothBlackmyre, the noble philosopher-king of the ancient preSenZar Goblin race. Sadly, few sages will openly admitthis seeming improbability, given the current devolutionof the Goblin race on SenZar and the general proclivity ofmost humanoids to disregard as fanciful any notion thatthe Goblin race once was the intellectual, moral, andethical equal of any other.Pacts or Magicks: Atmosphere Converter. This ancientShadar Steel pyramidal structure, found at the exactsouthern geomagnetic pole of the planet, was installed onBlackmyre by the Death Horde during their occupation ofthe solar system. Originally intended to render to theatmosphere of the planet capable of supporting standardhumanoid life, the Atmosphere Converter now lies in astate of disrepair, barely capable of maintaining thebreathable atmosphere. Few suspect that the Death Hordeintended to make the planet habitable for anything otherthan a planetary testing area for their incredible weapons.Special: Those on Blackmyre take 1 point of hardcoreradiation damage per combat round.

Susseidon, the Eighth PlanetCharon, the Ninth PlanetRadius: 34,935 miles.Radius: 4,344 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 2,675,000,000 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 3,677,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 157.98 years.Solar Revolution: 342.98 years.Mass: 8.98 X 1028 kg.Mass: 3.12 X 1026 kg.Composition: Composed mainly of silicon, silicondioxide, iron, and nickel. The "surface" is liquid water, kept in a non-frozen state by a superabundance ofsubmarine geothermal hot spots. Those with aquaticadaptation of any sort can survive in its waters.Composition: The core of Charon is composed primarilyof nickel and iron. The temperature at the surface hoversseveral degrees above absolute zero.Atmosphere: Primarily oxygen, ozone, some nitrogen, and traces of sulfur dioxide and fluorine. Poisonous tomost humanoids, who take 1d10 points of damage percombat round during exposure.Satellites: 9 ("Sslyachz," and "Llyebda" are the twolargest, with both being approximately the size of theSenZar moon, Kaldos).Origin of Name: Susseidon is an epithet for Poseidonus, the ancient T'leel God of the Depths. "Susseidon" refersto the warlike aspect of Poseidonus.Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Those on Susseidon must be adaptable to anaquatic environment, else they will drown, or diegasping for air that they cannot possibly breathe.Atmosphere: Very little. Vestigial traces of bothhydrogen and helium, with an impure form of heliumfound in a liquid state near the polar areas.Satellites: 1 ("Genneth Nar").Origin of Name: Charon, sometimes referred to as the"Guardian of 1,000,000 Years," is the last true "planet" ofthe solar system (before the artificial "planet," Nemesis, and the dreaded Zone of Destruction). Sages assume thatCharon was named in honor of "Charon the Blind," a holyman who advised Jacoor Thrax during the turbulent timeof the Death Horde's extirpation from SenZar. While thetruth may never be revealed to anyone's satisfaction, itshould be noted that the epithet "Guardian of 1,000,000Years," when translated into Sidhe, returns to us as"SI.GIL", or the common name of Sigil Talisman, twin ofLord Valthrustra. Considering his reputation for assumingnumerous identities, especially early in the history ofSenZar, it is quite possible that Jacoor Thrax's "holy man"was indeed Sigil Talisman, and that his "true identity" isrevealed in the Sidhe transliteration of Charon's commonepithet.Pacts or Magicks: None.Special: Those on Charon take 1 point of hardcoreradiation damage per combat round, as well as 1d100points of cold damage.

Nemesis, the Tenth “Planet”Radius: 414,414 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 4,100,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 1,000 years.Mass: 6.66 X 1024 kg.Composition: This former Death Horde Annihilatorclass starship is composed of a virtually pure ShadarSteel/Omnium hyperalloy. Patterned after the DeathHorde flagship, Demonia Prime, Nemesis is a modifiedDyson sphere, approximately solar-sized; 99.9% of itsinterior structure is hollow, allowing the formerpopulation of Horde troops to inhabit the interior surfaceof the sphere. The vessel's power is provided by aharnessed Void Singularity, which occupies the exactcenter of the sphere. Sabotaged during the final phase ofthe war which expelled the Death Horde from theSenZar solar system, the singularity is now in a semidormant state, trapped within a primal web ofdimensional energies which effectively phase it out ofthis reality (see "Pacts or Magicks" below).Atmosphere: Little conventional external atmosphere;traces of gravitically trapped hydrogen, helium, andcometary debris. Internal atmosphere is SenZar-standard.There yet remains a marginally functional automated lifesupport system, its source the eight atmospheregeneration plants which are spaced equidistantly aboutthe interior surface of the sphere.Satellites: None.Origin of Name: Nemesis is the original name of theDeath Horde Annihilator-class starship. Through thecenturies, the name has come to denote in the commonparlance a foe of extreme power, eternal in nature, andincapable of destruction. It is rumored that, even duringthe height of his Fourth Age rule of SenZar, LordValthrustra did not deign intrude upon Nemesis, thoughhis reasons for inaction may very well have been relatedto the nature of the Primal Web (see below), and nothingmore.Pacts or Magicks: Primal Web; PD: 101. The primalweb acts as a 101 PD defense for any who would dareattempt to resurrect the Void Singularity which powersNemesis. Created by the forces of light which drove thedarkness of the Death Horde from SenZar, the PrimalWeb entraps the Void Singularity within an inescapablemultidimensional shunt, rendering it "out of phase" withthis reality, and incapable of providing full battle powerfor Nemesis. Any attack upon the Primal Web will causethe web to issue forth a powerful telepathic warning toall telepathic or empathic sentients within the solarsystem. The warning will sound but once perdisturbance, though the message it contains willspecifically "name" the violator(s) and, if possible, transmit a detailed image of the violator(s). A side effectof the Primal Web is to deny all common teleports andtransports, Space Warps, and Master Warps intoNemesis. Entry into Nemesis must be achievedconventionally (see below), or by means of someextradimensional means, such as Astral or Shadow travel.(Note: Nemesis itself was originally gifted with a PD of1,001; standard Death Horde fare for an Annihilator-classstarship. The Primal Web was designed to bind all 1,001points of the original PD of Nemesis into a standardPrimal Defense of 1,001 points, while removing ordenying the original intent of the PD. Thus, any whowould seek the destruction of Nemesis must firstovercome the 1,001 PD of the vessel itself, then, somehow, defeat the Primal Web; for only the totaldestruction of the Void Singularity will rid the universe ofthe scourge of Nemesis.)Special: There are numerous means of conventionalingress into Nemesis, as the surface of the sphere isriddled with access portals for starfaring vessels (many ofenormous size), as well as a gamut of weapon batteries, which are also means of ingress for those willing to takethe risk of entering the sphere through a technomagickaldevice capable of annihilating most planetary bodies withbut a single blast. Though the majority of portals, eitherconventional or weapon, are locked down ornonfunctional, there are still literally hundreds, if notthousands, of portals that remain in an open or unlockedstate.Nemesis & the Death Horde: Chances are slim that, after so many millennia, even one of the original Hordetroops still exists on Nemesis. Granted, the Death Hordeis known to employ any manner of "sleeper" agents, automated defense units, and technomagickal defenses inthe defense of its major starships (of which Nemesis trulywas). But while encountering "sleeper agents" andautomated defenses is perhaps a possibility for the boldadventurer who dares to journey to Nemesis, the truethreat to the adventurer's soul lies in the fact that theDeath Horde is also known never to turn the other cheekwhen vengeance lies within their collective unholy grasp.Nemesis, seemingly abandoned as it is, doubtless is aprimary target for the Horde's far-reaching plans of totaldomination of all things living and dead, and the DeathHorde will stop at nothing to implement their cruelvengeance upon the one world that has defeated them.(So perhaps that bold adventurer will think twice beforedaring to journey to a "world" that may very well serve asa base for advance Death Horde scouts, troops, or perhapseven for a contingent of the true Horde itself.)

SenZar and its MoonsSenZar, the Third PlanetRadius: 7,933.33 miles.Average Distance from Silestion: 99,000,000 miles.Solar Revolution: 1.00 years.Mass: 5.99 X 1027 kg.Satellites: 3 (Faeyera, Kaldos, Selene the Void Moon)Composition: The core, mantle, and crust are virtuallyidentical in composition to that of a Terran-class planet, with the notable exception of the deposits of some exoticelements not normally found on Terra. These deposits, aswell as all other mineral and elemental deposits, aresubstantially richer in yield than their Terran-classcounterparts.Atmosphere: The atmosphere contains nitrogen, oxygen, argon, and a host of other trace elements inTerran-class proportions. Due to SenZar’s ancientterraforming, which modified not only the atmospherebut also the planet’s magnetic field, virtually 99% of allradiations harmful to life are filtered out before theyreach the ground.Magnetic Poles: The magnetic poles of SenZar shiftwith the regularity of a planetary heartbeat, which in factthey are. Both the north and south magnetic polesfluctuate som
