2Installation and operationHydro Solo-E and Hydro Solo-E Optimum2. Installation and operationElectrical installationMechanical installationLocationThe 4.0 - 7.5 kW motors must be connected toespecially reliable and sturdy earth connections due toan earth leakage current above 3.5 mA.The booster system is not designed for outdoorinstallation and must not be exposed to direct sunlight.Allow sufficient clearance around the booster system toenable the operator to work freely. Enclosure class:IP55. Insulation class: F.Install the booster system in a well-ventilated room toensure sufficient cooling of the pump.PipesThe system in which Hydro Solo-E is incorporated mustbe designed for the maximum pump pressure. The pipesconnected to the booster system must be of adequatesize. To avoid resonance, expansion joints must be fittedboth in the outlet and inlet pipes. Connect the pipes to theoutlet pipe and the pump inlet port.Tighten the booster system before startup. Werecommend fitting pipe supports on the inlet and outletside.Do not switch the power on/off more than four times aday. The electrical installation and protection must be carriedout in accordance with local regulations. The pump must always be correctly earthed. The pump requires no external motor protection. Themotor incorporates thermal protection against slowoverloading and blocking.Additional protectionConnecting the pump to an electric installation with anearth leakage circuit breaker (ELCB) is not a requirement. However, if you choose to use this additional protection, the earth leakage circuit breakers must be marked withthe following symbols:TM072868Single-phase2112TM0102272PipesThe earth leakage circuit breakers must trip out whenearth fault currents with DC content (pulsating DC) occur.1 x 200-240V, /- 10%Pressure tankThe pressure tank is pre-charged to the correct pressure. If the setpoint is altered, a new pre-charge pressure mustbe calculated to obtain the optimum duty.Calculation of pre-charge pressure: pre-charge pressureis equal to 0.7 x setpoint. Measure the pre-chargepressure of the pressure tank in a pressureless system. We recommend that you refill the tank with nitrogen.On/off switchMax. 10 ANNELCBLPEPELTM020792FoundationPosition the booster system on an even and solid surface, such as a concrete floor or foundation. If the boostersystem is not fitted with vibration dampers, bolt it to thefloor or foundation.Wiring diagram, single phase7
