Before the PTS system can be installed, a suitable position mustbe determined in relation to the vehicle’s parking position in the station.Note! The vehicle’s parking position must be on the opposite side of the trackcompared to the duct connection. See figure 1, alternatives 1 and 2.The distance from the floor to the bottom edge of the track should normally be3 - 4 m (10 - 13 ft). 3.5 m (11 ft 6 in) is recommended. If the system is to beused between two vehicles, the distance between the vehicles must be at least1.2 m (4 ft).The distance from the track’s front edge to the station door threshold shouldbe at least 1.0 m (3 ft), see figure 1(A). Make sure the door can open freelywithout interference to the track. See A.5.2Installation instructionsSee figures 2, 3 and 4, items 1 to 14.1. Place all the track profiles in line with each other on the floor. Screw theprofiles together with the lengthening joints. See figure 2(1).2. Fasten the mounting brackets in the middle of every other profile. Seefigure 2(2) and 2(3).3. Lift the tracks and fit them in the ceiling.Note! Check that there is no gap between the track sections. The mounting devices should be fixed in bars, brackets or similararrangements according to the examples. The first and the last mountingbracket should be braced. See figure 2(3), items A and B. All mountingbrackets should be braced with bracing bars positioned sidewaysaccording to one of the items C and D figure 2(3). When mounting thetrack, ensure that suitable fixing bolts are used considering the ceilingconstruction material and the traction forces (1300N) in the suspensionpoints.4. Position the duct connector near the middle of the track. Fasten itaccording to figure 4(9 a - e).Note! The duct connector must not be positioned on the same side of thetrack as the vehicle’s parking position. See figure 3(4) alternatives 1 and 2.5. Connect the nozzle kit on the safety coupling. EN Pneumatic Track System, Track length 5.9 m or 9.4 m6. Slide the trolley with balancer into the track. See figure 3.7. Fit the hose holder. Fit the balancer cord on the hose holder. See figure 3.Note! It is important that the nozzle suspends freely (approximately30 cm (1 ft)) from the floor when the hose is in its raised position. Seefigure 4.8. To obtain clearance height under the exhaust hose (when the vehicle is inparking position) the position of the duct connector must be adjusted inthe following way. See figure 4(9 a - e):a) Back the vehicle into its parking position.b) Slide the exhaust nozzle onto the exhaust pipe of the vehicle.c) Loosen the duct connector from the exhaust track and push it towardsthe door opening and the track s front edge, until the distance from thefloor to the bottom edge of the exhaust hose is at least 2,1 m (7 ft).d) Drill holes, diameter 10 mm (2/5 in), in the track for the ductconnector bracket. Note that the duct connector must be fastened infront of the middle of the track.e) Fasten the duct connector with screws.9. Install the shock absorber in the front edge of the track. See figure 4.10. Install screw and nut at the back edge of the track. See figure 4.11. Install the disconnection valve on the front part of the track. See figure 4.Install the valve with the screw X. Maximum moment 1,5 Nm (1.1 lbft). The exact distance from the front edge of the track must be checked acc.to the installation protocol point 3F.12. Install the compressed air hose to the T-coupling. Also install the PTFEpilot signal hose to the disconnection valve. See figure 4.Note! Allow overlength for stretching of exhaust hose. The hoseis mounted on the top of the guide track. Drill holes, 4.5 mm (1/6 in)diameter, and fit the hose with clips according to the pictures. Adjust thehose length and connect the hose to the disconnection valve.13. A flexible hose, minimum length 30 cm (1 ft) must be connected betweenthe duct connector and the duct pipe work. See figure 4.5.3FansFans are not included in the basic package. For the best results, one fan perextraction unit is recommended. It is also possible to connect several units to acentral fan.To obtain optimum performance, the fan should be positioned as near the ductoutlet from the room as possible. Please contact your Nederman representativefor advice on fan selection.Note! A lockable safety switch is recommended for the electrical systemincluding the fan.5.414Exhaust pipeThe edge of the exhaust pipe must have a free distance to surroundingvehicle parts. See recommendations, figure 5. Check that the nozzle, afterthe disconnection, does not catch any part of the vehicle. It is possible thatmodifications may be required to the exhaust system to ensure the optimumposition of the exhaust pipe.

Pneumatic Track System, Track length 5.9 m or 9.4 m ENRecommended nozzle diameter to the exhaust pipe: 50 – 85 mm (2 – 3 1/3 in) for the 125 mm (5 in) nozzle. 70 – 125 mm (2 3/4 – 5 in) for the 160 mm (6 1/3 in) nozzle.5.55.6Tail pipe stopDepending on nozzle kit a tail pipe stop might be mandatory.
