As the float or displacer ➂ riseswith the liquid level, it raises the attraction sleeve ➃into the field of the magnet, which then snaps againstthe non-magnetic enclosing tube ➄, actuating theswitch . The enclosing tube provides a staticpressure boundary between the switch mechanism andthe process.
