Course Plan 875 yardsThe club reserves the right to alter the course plan for weather and/or fieldconditions on the day of the trial.TESTS OFFERED:JUNIOR COURSER TEST (JC)Open to Sighthounds at least 12 months of age. A hound running alone shall receivea certification from a judge assigned to one test and a second certification from adifferent judge assigned to another test, stating that the hound completed a 600yard course with a minimum of four turns. The hound must complete the coursewith enthusiasm and without interruption.QUALIFIED COURSER TEST (QC)A hound at least 12 months of age (Qualifying Hound) running with another houndof the same breed or another breed with a similar running style (Testing Hound)shall receive certification from a licensed judge. The hound must complete thecourse with enthusiasm and without interruption, sufficiently course the lure andnot the Testing Hound. The judge will certify that the Qualifying Hound ran cleanlyand did not appear to present a hazard to the Testing Hound at any point in thequalifying course. This certification is required to enter a hound in an Open Stake.The handler presenting the Qualifying Hound shall be responsible for providing theTesting Hound for the qualifying course. It is strongly recommended that everyQualifying Hound has been run previously alone and that to the handler’ssatisfaction runs cleanly and keenly. It is additionally recommended that everyQualifying Hound practices with other hounds prior to being presented for aqualifying courser test. It is to be understood by all that training prior to running ahound with other hounds in competition is essential to ensure that the hound isprepared to run safely with other hounds.NOTE: As of Jan 2017, an ASFA certification form may be submitted with your entryin lieu of a QC.REGULAR STAKES OFFERED: (Greyhound Trial)OPEN STAKE: Open to all greyhounds that have obtained an AKC Qualified Coursercertificate or ASFA certification form. This requirement will be waived for houndsthat have earned a Field Championship title from the American Sighthound FieldAssociation (ASFA) or the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC). ASFA or CKC Field Championsmust submit a copy of their title certificate to the host club when they enter theirfirst AKC Open Stake. This copy must be included when the results of the trial aresent to AKC.Championship points earned from the Open Stake will only count toward a FieldChampion title. Hounds that have earned an AKC Field Championship title are noteligible to enter the Open Stake.SPECIALS STAKE: Open to all greyhounds that have earned their AKC FieldChampionship titles. Championship points earned from the Specials Stake will counttoward Lure Courser Excellent titles. Qualifying scores earned from the SpecialsStake will count toward a Senior Courser or Master Courser title.VETERAN STAKE: Open to all greyhounds which are eligible to enter Open or SpecialStakes and are 6 years of age. Points won from the Veteran Stake may count towardeither a Field Championship title or Lure Courser Excellent title. Qualifying scoresearned from the Veterans Stake will count toward a Senior Courser or MasterCourser title.SINGLES STAKE: Open to all greyhounds approved to participate in AKC LureCoursing trials. Hounds with breed disqualifications are eligible to enter, as arehounds that have been disqualified by a judge for being aggressive to another dogwhile coursing. Singles Stakes winner not eligible for BOB.After the stake winners are all decided, the winners of each stake will be run in triosif possible, or braces, if necessary for BOB.NON REGULAR STAKES OFFEREDKENNEL STAKE: For Greyhounds; an entry shall consist of two hounds, designated attime of entry, in one of the regular stakes being owned and kenneled by the sameperson.BREEDER STAKE: For Greyhounds, which shall have, designated at time of entry,two hounds bred by the same individual.

Conditions of Participation Hounds that are disqualified from AKC, ASFA, or CKC Field Trialsmay not be entered, except in Singles. Hounds must be 1 year of age or older on the day of the trial orJunior Courser/Qualified Courser Test. Bitches known to be in season should NOT be brought onto tothe test/trial grounds. Bitches in season, hounds with AKC breed disqualifications andlame hounds will be excused and the entry fee refunded. Hounds not present at roll call will be scratched after a fiveminute grace period. Each entry will be examined at inspection for AKC breeddisqualifications. Spayed and neutered hounds without AKCbreed disqualifications are eligible to participate. Monorchid orcryptorchid hounds are ineligible to participate. Battery powered, continuous loop lure system will be used.Backup equipment will be available. The lure will consist ofwhite plastic strips. A 5.00 fine will be assessed for any hound loose or interferingwith the course in progress. A 25.00 fine will be assessed to any owner not cleaning upafter their hound. Any person may, upon reasonable complaint, be asked to leavethe grounds of the field trial by the Field Trial Committee.Entries will be acknowledged by email, if a legible email address is provided.Late, incomplete, unsigned or conditional entries will not be accepted.
