Cutting accessory contactinga “live” wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool “live”and could give the operator an electric shock.Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support theworkpiece to a stable platform. Holding the workpiece by hand oragainst your body leaves it unstable and may lead to loss of control.When working in walls ceiling, or floor, take care to avoid electriccables and gas or waterpipes.The dust produced when using this tool may be harmful to health. Donot inhale the dust. Use a dust absorption system and wear a suitabledust protection mask. Remove deposited dust thoroughly, e.g. with avacuum cleaner.Remove the battery pack before starting any work on the machine.Always disconnect the plug from the socket before carrying out anywork on the machine.Dust from certain paints, coatings, and materials may cause irritationor allergic reactions. Dust from wood such as oak, beech, MDF, andothers are carcinogenic. Only qualified specialists should be allowedto use the product on materials containing asbestos.Do not use compressed air to blow dust or debris. This practice isdangerous and can cause dirt and grit to be blasted into someone’seyes, causing serious injury.Wear ear protectors!For technical data and approvals of powerbases for use with variousapplication heads please refer to the operating instructions of theused powerbase.WARNINGThe vibration emission level given in this information sheet has beenmeasured in accordance with a standardised test given in EN 62841and may be used to compare one tool with another. It may be used fora preliminary assessment of exposure.The declared vibration emission level represents the main applicationsof the tool. However if the tool is used for different applications, withdifferent accessories or poorly maintained, the vibration emission maydiffer. This may signifi cantly increase the exposure level over the totalworking period.An estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also takeinto account the times when the tool is switched off or when it isrunning but not actually doing the job. This may signifi cantly reducethe exposure level over the total working period.Identify additional safety measures to protect the operator from theeffects of vibration such as: maintain the tool and the accessories,keep the hands warm, organisation of work patterns.residual risksEven when the product is used as prescribed, it is still impossibleto completely eliminate certain residual risk factors. The followinghazards may arise and the operator should pay special attention toavoid the following:Injury caused by dust and derbis While using the product, considerable dust and fine particles willbe produced. Use the dust collection device and connect a dustextraction vacuum during use. Wear eye protection at all times. Wear respiratory protection masks containing filters appropriateto the materials being worked. Ensure adequate workplaceventilation. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area.Injury caused by noise and vibration Wear ear protection.WARNING! Do not operate the product for long periods of time. See “Riskreduction”.Injury from contact with the cutting accessories The accessories are sharp and will become hot during use. Wear gloves when changing accessories. Keep hands away from the cutting area at all times. Never hold workpiece being cut in your hands or across your leg.Clamp the workpiece whenever possible.Risk of electrocution if electric cables are cut Always hold the product by designated handles. Symptoms may include tingling, numbness and blanchingof the fingers, usually apparent upon exposure to cold. Hereditaryfactors, exposure to cold and dampness, diet, smoking, and workpractices are all thought to contribute to the development of thesesymptoms. There are measures that can be taken by the operator topossibly reduce the effects of vibration:Keep your body warm in cold weather. When operating the product,wear gloves to keep the hands and wrists warm. It is reported thatcold weather is a major factor contributing to Raynaud’s Syndrome.After each period of operation, exercise to increase blood circulation.Take frequent work breaks. Limit the amount of exposure per day.If you experience any of the symptoms of this condition, immediatelydiscontinue use and see your doctor about these symptoms.Please read the instructions carefully before startingthe machine.Remove the battery pack before starting any workon the machine (OMNI12C-PB, OMNI 18C-PB).Always wear goggles when using the machine.Wear ear protectors.Wear a suitable dust protection mask.WARNING!
