Our HistoryIn 1944, Ernest (Ernie) Hoge began handcrafting small trailer fenders in Lynwood, CA under the name Hogebuilt. Ernie was a master metalworker and developed a unique process of hand rolling each fender to create a smooth, wrinkle free finish. In the beginning, he manufacturedfenders for horse trailers, motorcycles and boat trailers.Sourcing steel for Hogebuilt fenders allowed Ernie to befriend George Lombino, the Vice President of a steel company in Los Angeles andformer truck driver. They worked together for almost thirty years until 1972 when Ernie retired and sold the company to George. To ensurethe craftsmanship and quality of Hogebuilt continued, Ernie worked along-side George’s son, George Jr., for a year teaching him on all thetechniques he had developed.The following year George Jr. attended a trucking show in Anaheim, CA which sparked the idea to build show-quality stainless steel fenders forbig rigs. Thus, in 1973, Hogebuilt introduced 24” fenders, and soon thereafter they began manufacturing 27”, 30” and 34” quarter fenders, aswell as full and half-tandem fenders.In the early years, Hogebuilt fenders were made of chrome-plated steel that was subject to chipping when dinged. As a solution to this problem,and enhance the look of their products, the Lombino’s began using 304 Stainless Steel that featured a non-directional polished finish. This finishis basically a mirror. The fenders continued to feature a 3” side flange which remains the largest in the industry today. It was around this sametime they introduced brackets that were custom fit for each type of suspension to eliminate the need for drilling extra holes in the frame.After working hard for over 30 years, George Sr. sought retirement, but George Jr. did not want to continue without his dad next to him. It wasat that time, in 2004, that Hogebuilt was purchased by the Marmon Group and now operates under Marmon Highway Technologies. A few yearslater, the company relocated from Southern California to Springfield, TN, where it resides today. Throughout all the moves and acquisitions,Hogebuilt continued making quality, handcrafted products and providing unsurpassed customer service.75 years later, Hogebuilt remains the recognized leader in the manufacturing of premium quality truck and trailer spray suppression systems. We nowoffer a complete line of quarter, single, tandem and half-tandem fenders manufactured of premium 304 stainless steel with a mirror finish for a lastingimage. Our engineered custom brackets integrate the fenders with a suspension system for sustained reliability. Hogebuilt has since added a mid-gradeline of fenders produced in a 430 stainless steel with a mirror shine finish. Claims, Returns & Warranty InformationCLAIMS FOR SHORTAGES Shortages must be reported to Hogebuilt Customer Service inwriting within four (4) working days from the carrier’s deliverydate. Customer is responsible for checking and reporting anyerrors at the time of delivery before signing the bill of lading.If no discrepancy is reported within the alloted time, Customeragrees that the BOL/Packing Slip contents were received asshipped. Claims for shortages must include the following information:-- Invoice Number-- Date of receipt-- Carrier and PRO numberCLAIMS FOR DAMAGED MERCHANDISE All items are sold FOB Hogebuilt manufacturing plant,Springfield, TN. Ownership of the product is transferred tothe customers at the point it leaves our facility. Hogebuiltpackaging practices have been developed and standardized toprotect product under normal transit conditions. Never-the-less,occasional damage occurs in transit. Product received and any signs of damage or distress must beidentified on all copies of the receiving paperwork / BOL beforethe driver leaves your dock. Damage should be documentedphotographically and the product held “as is” for inspection bythe carriers representative before processing further. Customer’s sole recourse for reimbursement of damagedproduct cost is through the Carrier’s freight claim process. Please contact Hogebuilt Customer Service for any requiredsupport or to suggest packaging improvements.RETURN GOODS POLICY Material may be returned to Hogebuilt when a Return MaterialAuthorization (RMA) number has been issued. Returns must be received by Hogebuilt within 30 days of receivingRMA number. Parts to be returned must have been purchased directly fromHogebuilt within the last 12 months. Proof of purchase is required. Parts purchased through a Dealer must be returned to thatdistributor. This includes drop shipped parts, as well. All return documentation should reference the original Hogebuiltinvoice number. Parts must be in new and re-salable condition and should be intheir original packaging. Customer is responsible for packaging parts for protection in transit. Damaged, rusted, repainted, used, reconditioned, altered orincomplete parts are not eligible for return. All material will be shipped freight pre-paid to the address providedon the RMA. Parts are subject to a standard 15% re-stocking fee. Additional feesmay be assessed pending final inspection. Obsolete, custom or proprietary parts are not eligible for return. Annual return amount is limited to 5% of the prior year’s purchases.WARRANTY Hogebuilt warrants its parts and products against defects inworkmanship and material for a period of one year from thedate of purchase. Any claim not submitted within this periodshall conclusively be deemed waived by the buyer. Buyer agreesto indemnify Hogebuilt against any claim(s) made by buyer’ssubsequent customers or assignees of the purchased product. Half tandem and full tandem fenders must be installed withHogebuilt mounting brackets in order for the one year warranty tobe valid. For warranty claims, please contact Hogebuilt Customer Service at800-421-1589 or e-mail customerservice@hogebuilt.com. Repair or replacement will be made at Hogebuilt’s discretionupon inspection of the goods. No orders are to be returned withoutexpressed consent and direction of Hogebuilt.26
