The scanner is available in thefollowing configurations: CS3000 - USB (batch), 0.5 GB Flash CS3070 - USB (batch) and Bluetooth,0.5 GB FlashEach scanner includes a USB host cable. 4CS3000 SeriesChargingTo charge the CS3000 series scanner, connect itto a host PC via the USB host cable or chargingcradle. No power supply is necessary. Chargetime is approximately three hours for a fullydischarged battery.Charging via USB Host Cable1. Insert the mini-USB connector on the hostcable in the interface port on the scanner.2. Connect the other end of the host cable to aUSB port on the host PC.

On the host PC, launch the third partyBluetooth pairing application and place theapplication into discover Bluetooth devicemode.4. Select the CS3070 from the discovered devicelist. The Bluetooth application may prompt youto scan a passkey it generated, or for you tocreate and then scan a pin.

Serial Port Profile (SPP) - The scannerconnects to the host via Bluetooth andemulates a serial connection. The scanneraccepts an incoming connection requestedfrom a Bluetooth host. 14CS3000 SeriesTransmitting Bar Code Data to HostTransferring Data from a Batch ScannerThe BarcodeFile.txt file within the \ScannedBarcodes directory on the scanner storesscanned (batch) bar code data. Connect thescanner to the host PC via USB host cable or thecharging cradle and use Windows Explorer tonavigate to the scanner. Copy the bar code datafile to the host.Note The scanner also supports anautorun feature where the customercan build an autorun.inf file toautomatically copy the data to thehost upon connection.To clear the bar code data, delete theBarcodeFile.txt file from the scanner, or scan theClear Data bar code in the Product ReferenceGuide.Transferring Data from an RF ScannerWhen the scanner is paired to a host viaBluetooth, data transmits to the host after eachscan and is not stored on the scanner unless thescanner moves out of range of the host. In thiscase, if the scanner does not re-pair with the hostwithin the timeout period, it stores data in a batchfile. This data must be manually copied to thehost.
