1. IntroductionFord Motor Company and your selling Dealer thank you for selectingone of our quality products. Our commitment to you and your vehiclebegins with quality protection and service. When you need warrantyrepairs, your selling Dealer would like you to return to it for that service, but you may also take your vehicle to another Ford Motor Companydealership authorized for warranty repairs. Certain warranty repairsrequire specialized training, so not all Dealers are authorized to performall warranty repairs. Depending on the warranty repair needed, thevehicle may need to be serviced at another Dealer. If a particulardealership cannot assist you, then contact the Customer RelationshipCenter at 1-800-392-3673.This booklet explains in detail the warranty coverages that apply to yourBattery Electric Vehicle (BEV). If you bought a previously owned2021-model electric vehicle, you are eligible for any remaining warrantycoverages. While you may take your vehicle to any Ford Motor Company dealershipfor most repairs, certain repairs involving the high voltage componentsmust be completed at an Electric Vehicle (EV) Certified Ford dealership. You can identify and locate EV Certified Ford Dealers using the dealerlocator tool on Ford.com, or by calling the Customer Relationship Centerat 1-800-392-3673.1

2. Important information you should knowIF YOU NEED CUSTOMER ASSISTANCEYour Ford Motor Company Dealer is available to assist you with all yourautomotive needs. Please follow the procedures outlined on the frontpage of this booklet. In addition, if you are an eligible U.S. owner, youmay use - at no cost - the services of the BBB AUTO LINE program. Fordetails, see Better Business Bureau (BBB) AUTO LINE program, page 25or call 1-800-955-5100.KNOW WHEN YOUR WARRANTY BEGINSYour Warranty Start Date is the day you take delivery of your newvehicle or the day it is first put into service (for example, as a dealerdemonstrator), whichever occurs first.CHECK YOUR VEHICLEWe try to check vehicles carefully at the assembly plant and thedealership, and we usually correct any damage to paint, sheet metal, upholstery, or other appearance items. But occasionally something mayslip past us, and a customer may find that a vehicle was damaged beforehe or she took delivery. If you see any damage when you receive yourvehicle, notify your dealership within one week.MAINTAIN YOUR VEHICLE PROPERLYYour Owner’s Manual, provided with your vehicle, indicates the scheduledmaintenance required for your vehicle. Proper maintenance guardsagainst major repair expenses resulting from neglect or inadequatemaintenance and may help increase the value you receive when you sellor trade your vehicle. It is your responsibility to make sure that all the scheduled maintenanceis performed and that the materials used meet Ford engineeringspecifications. Failure to perform scheduled maintenance as specified inthe Owner’s Manual will invalidate warranty coverage on parts affectedby the lack of maintenance. Make sure that receipts for completedmaintenance work are retained with the vehicle.2

Your EV dealership, or local Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center, hasfactory-trained technicians who can perform the required maintenanceusing genuine Ford parts. The dealership looks forward to meeting yourevery service need to maximize your satisfaction with your vehicle.WHO PAYS FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS?You will not be charged for repairs covered by any applicable warrantyduring the stated coverage periods, unless specifically stated elsewherein this guide. Some states have mandated alternate time coverage periods for parts ofyour vehicle (e.g. seatbelts). Some states and/or local governments may require a tax on a portion ofwarranty repairs. Where applicable law allows, the tax must be paid byyou, the owner of the vehicle.During the Bumper to Bumper Warranty period, Dealers may receiveinstructions to provide no-cost, service-type improvements - notoriginally included in your Owner’s Manual - intended to increase youroverall satisfaction with your vehicle.Sometimes Ford may offer a special adjustment program to pay all orpart of the cost of certain repairs beyond the terms of the applicablewarranty. High Voltage Lithium-Ion Battery Capacity CoverageAs is the case with all batteries, the high voltage lithium-ion batterycapacity will decrease over time and with use. While gradual capacityloss with time and use is considered normal wear and tear, Ford MotorCompany warrants the high voltage battery against excessive capacityloss for a period of 8 years/100,000 miles, whichever comes first. If anauthorized EV Certified Ford Dealer determines that the battery capacityis less than 70 percent of the high voltage battery’s beginning of lifecapacity, this level of capacity loss is considered excessive. Themeasurement method used to determine the high voltage batterycapacity, and the decision of whether to repair, replace, or providereconditioned or remanufactured parts, and the condition of any suchreplaced, reconditioned or remanufactured parts, are at the solediscretion of Ford Motor Company. During the High Voltage BatteryCapacity Coverage period, Ford Motor Company will cover the necessarycomponent repair or replacement to correct this excessive capacity loss, when performed by an EV Certified Ford dealership. This coverage is inaddition to the high voltage battery assembly’s limited warranty fordefects in materials or workmanship. If a warranty repair requiresreplacement of the high voltage battery assembly, or one of itscomponents, it may be replaced with a new, factory remanufactured, orfactory refurbished component, at Ford’s descretion. Refurbished batterycomponents selected for your vehicle will align with your vehicle’s age,and mileage.NOTE: The battery capacity degradation rate will vary based on variousfactors, including environmental conditions, and will also be affected bythe way in which the vehicle is used. Following the recommendations inthe Preserving Your High Voltage Battery section of the Owner’sManual may help lower the rate of capacity degradation and optimizebattery life.Over the Air (OTA) UpdatesDuring the warranty coverage period, Ford Motor Company warrants that: you will not be charged for diagnosis, repair, replacement, oradjustment of components that are damaged or inoperable due to adefect caused by an OTA update12
