ن ختم ءعا د القرا - Dar Al-Hadith

They have alighted in Your presence and are in need ofYour mercy, and pleasure. They are your slaves andchildren of your slavewomen [mention the name at thispoint]. They are hopeful of your mercy clinging on toYour Gentleness.O Allah, convey the reward of this to them and make itََ َالنازليَ َبفناَِك ,َ لَجلهَمَ َوَأنت َأعلم َبَمَمناَوَبأََامِهَم ََ اْلحتاجَين َإلَ َرْحتك َورضوانك َعبيَدَكَ َوَأَبَنَاء َإَمَاَِك ََ )َالراجون َرْحتكَ َاْلتش َِّبثَيَبذيَل َلَطفك .(ََ أوَصل َاللَهم َثواب َذلكَ َإليَهمَواجعلَهاَنور ًا َتَسَعَىَبي a light which shines before them. Multiply your mercyََ ضوانكَعليَهم and pleasure upon them.O Allah, reside their souls in the abode of the righteous,envelop them with mercy throughout the day and thenight. Save them from the tribulation of the grave andfrom the punishment of the fire, by Your Mercy, OMost Merciful.ََ لرْحَةَأَناء َ ِّ اَللَهمَحلَأرَواحهمَََفَم َ جهَمَمَنَ َفتَنة َالَقرب َوَمَنَ َعذاب َِّ اللَيَل َوَأطَراف َالنهار َ َون ََ النار َ َاَللَهم َكن َلناَولمَبعَد َالَبيَب َحبيَباًَ َوبعَد َاْلَؤَمني ًَََ صاحباًََوقريبا O Allah, be for us and for them after our loved ones aloved one, and after the believers a friend and close one.Be for us and them O Allah one who hears them andanswers them, by Your Mercy O Most Merciful one.O Allah give comfort to them in their loneliness andhave mercy on their being strangers. Enlighten theirََََ امع ًاَوُميَب ْحي َ اَللَهم َأَنِّس َوحَشتهم َوارحمَ َغرَبتهمَ َون ِّورَ َملتهمَ َون ِّفس َ كرَبتهمَ َ َوقهَمَ َعذاب َالقرب َوفتَنتهَ َ َواجعلَ َقبَوَرهمَ َروَض ًة abodes and relieve their difficulties, protect them fromََ يَان the punishment of the grave and its tribulation. Maketheir graves a garden from the gardens of paradise, anddo not make it a pit from the pits of the hellfire.O Allah, make these blessed complete recitals descendupon their graves, and reside in their records; andenvelop them in mercy and pleasure.Grant them residence in the highest stations ofparadise, with the higher angels entering upon themََ اَللَهم َاجَعلَ َهَذه َاخلتمة َالَّشيفة َعلَ َقبَوَرهَم َنازل ًَة َوف َ الرضَوان َ َوأََكنَهم ِّ صحفهَمََاكنةَ َوَتغمدهَمَبَالرْحَة َو َ أعلَ َفراديَس َاجلنان َ َواجعلَ َمَاَِكتك َاْلقربي َيدخلون َ اب َََاَ ٌ َعليَكم َبام َصربَتمَ َفنعَم َعقَبَى َ ٍ عليَهمَ َمن َك ِّل َب َََ الدار from every door, salutations upon you for that whichyou patiently endured, and how great the abode of thenext world is.O Allah, descend upon their graves a light,illumination, open space, honour and joy.ََ لضياء َوَال َنُّوَرَ َوَالفسَحة َوَالّسَور ِّ َ اَللَهم َأنَزل َفَ َقبَوَرهمَ َا َ وَالَكرامة َوَالبور َ َوجازهمَ َيَا َاهلل َبَالَحَسَان َإحَسان ًا َََ وبالس ِّيئَاتَغفَران ًا Recompense them with goodness for any act ofgoodness they performed and forgiveness for any sinsthey committed.O Allah transfer them from the constriction of theircrypt and grave to the wide expanse of mansions andcastles amid lote-trees with no thorns, and the trees oftalh, having layers one upon the other, and a shade,spread all over, and water, poured forth, with manyَ اَللَهم َانَقَلَهمَ َمَن َضيق َال َُّلحوَد َوَالَقبوَر َإَلَ ََعة َالدُّ وَر ٍ َ وَالَقْوَرَفَََد ٍرََّضوَدََوَطلحٍ َمنضوَ ٍَدَوَظ ٍلَّمَدوَ ٍَدَوَم َ اء ٍ َ مسَكو ٍ ب َوَفاكه ٍة َكثي ٍة َلَ َمقَطوَعَ ٍة َوَلَ َّمَنوَع ٍة َ َوَفر َ ش ٍََ الْدِّ يَقَي ِّ َ مرَفوَع َة َمَع َالَذيَن َأنعمَت َعليَهمَ َمَن َالنب ِّييَ َو 4

fruits, neither interrupted (in any season), norُّ َ و َ الشهداء َوَالْاليَ َوحسن َأوَلَئك َرفيَق ًا َ َمولنا َرب prohibited, and beds of high quality. In the company ofَ العاْلي those whom You have blessed from the Prophets,Truthful ones, Martyrs and Righteous people, and howwonderful they are as companions, our Lord the Lordَ اَللَهم َارْحَهمَ َفوَق َالرض َوَتت َالَرض َويوَ َالَعرض َ عليك of the Worlds.O Allah, have mercy upon them above the earth, belowthe earth and on the day that they are presented to Youَ اَللَهم َقهم َعذابك َيو َتبعث َعبادك َاَللَهم َانزلَ َنوَر ًا َمن O Allah, protect them from Your punishment on theday when You send forth your servants.O Allahdescend upon them a light from Your lights.O Allah, forgive them and have mercy on them andpardon them and honour their resting place. O Allahgive them in exchange an abode better than theirworldly abode and family better than their earthlyfamilyandspousesbetterthantheirَ نوركَعليهم َ اَللَهم َأَغفرَ َلمَوارْحهمَواعف َعنهمَ َوأكر َنزلم َ َاَللَهم َ أبدلمَدار ياَمنَأهلهمَوأزواج ًا َ خيَاَمن َأزواجهمَ َوأدخلهمَ َاجلنة َبغي َحسابَبرْحتك َيا َ أرَحمَالراْحي earthlyspouses. Enter them in to Paradise without their beingtaken to account, by Your Mercy O Most Merciful OneO Allah transfer them from the resting place amongstworms to Your everlasting Paradise, there is no godََ للودَلَإله َ إلَ َأنت َيا َحنان َيا َمنان َيا َبديع َالساموات َوالرض َ لراْحي except You, O the Most Merciful and most Beneficentthe creator of the heavens and the earth. Envelop themin Your mercy O Most Merciful OneO Allah, if they are undeserving to attain Your Mercy,even then Your Mercy is capable of including them. OAllah give them to eat from Paradise and give them todrink from the pool of Your Prophet Muhammad(Allah bless him and give him peace) a pure deliciousَ اَللَهمَإنَكانوَاَغيَأه َاًَلن َ تسعهمَ َاَللَهم َأطعمهمَ َمنََاجلنة َوَاَقهمَ َمن َحوَض َنب ِّيك َ ممد َصل َاهلل َعليه َوَلَم َشب ًة َهنيئ ًة َمريئ ًه َل َيَّمئون َ َأي بابَتشاءون drink after which they will never experience thirstagain. Show them their place in Paradise and say tothem: Enter in to it from any door which you wish.O Allah, they are in Your hands and presence soprotect them from the tribulation of the grave andَ اَللَهم َإنمَ َفَ َذمتك َوحبلَ َجوارك َفقهَمَ َمنَ َفتنة َالقرب َ وعذابَالنارَوأنت َأهلَالَوفاءَوالقَ َفاغفر َلم َوارْحهم َََ إَنكَأنتَالغفَورَالرحيم punishment of the hellfire. You are the One whofulfils promises and truthful, so forgive them and havemercy on them, for You are indeed the Mostَ اَللَهم َإنمَعبيدكَ َأبناء َعبيدك ََيتاجون َإل َرْحتك َوأنت َ غنيَعنَعذابمََفارْحهم Forgiving and Most Kind.O Allah, they are Your servants and children of Yourservants, they are in need of Your Mercy, and You arein no need to punish them so have mercy on them.َََ اَللَهم َوَارَزَقَهَمَ َلذَة َالنََّر َإَلَ َوجَهكَ َوَالشَوَق َإَلََلقاءك ََ اَللَهم َأرَجع َنَفوََهَم َإلَيَك َراضيَ ًَة َمرَضيَ ًَة َوَأدَخلَهمَ َف 5

O Allah, bless them with the pleasure of gazing at Yourََ جنَتكَ َمَعَ َعبادكَ َالَْاليَ َ َاَللَهم َإنَ َكانَواَمَنَ َاْلحَسنَي Face and longing to meet You. O Allah return theirsouls back to Yourself content and earning Yourَ جاوَزَعَنَََ َِّيئَاتَم Pleasure. Enter them in to Your Paradise with Yourَ َ اَللَهم َاجعلَ َذريَتهَمَ َذرَيَ ًة َصالةَتدَعَوَاَلمَ َبخيَ َإَلَ َيَو righteous servants. O Allah if they are from the peopleof good acts then increase their good acts, and If theywere from the people of bad actions then overlook theirbad actions.O Allah, make their children pious such that they prayfor goodness for them till the day of judgment. O Allahََ ل َلَم َاَللَهم َ ً الدَِّيَن َ َاَللَهم َإَنَا َنَسَألكَ َالَفَرَدَوَسَ َالَعَلَ َنز ََ أظلهَمَ ََتَت َعرَشكَ َيوَ َ َلَ َظَل َإَلَ َظ َُّلكَ َوَلَ َباَقي َإل ََ وَجَهك َ َاَللَهم َبَ َِّيضَوَجوَههمَ َيوَ َتبي ُّض َالَوَجَوَهَوَتسو ُّد وَجَوَهََاَللَهمَث َِّبتَأقَدامهَمَيوَ َتَزَلََفيَهَاَالَقَدا we ask You for the highest ranks of Paradise as theirplaces of residence.O Allah shade them under theThrone on the day when there is no shade except Yourshade and nothing will remain except You.O Allah, enlighten their faces on the day when faces willbe enlightened and faces will become darkened.َ اَللَهم َاكَتبَهَمَ َعنَدك َمَنَ َالَْاليَ َوَالَْدَِّيَقيَ َوَالشَُّهَداء ََ ورَهَذه ٍَ َََُ كَانَواَف ٍ َ السَاعَةَفزدَ َفَ ََُورهَمَوَإذَاَكانَواَفَ َعذ ََ جهَمَمَن َِّ اب َفن O Allah, plant firmly their feet on the day when peoples’َ عذابكََوَأنتَالغ رَحمَالراْحي foothold will slip.O Allah, record them with Yourself as being from thepious, truthful ones, martyrs, chosen ones, righteousand those who are patient.O Allah, if they are in happiness at this moment in timethen increase them in their happiness, and if they are inpunishment then relieve them from their punishment,for You are the one who is Free of any need, the MostPraised, by Means of Your Mercy, O Most Mercifulََ َْيََاَللَهمَاجَعل َ مرضَهَمَ وَاجعلَآخرَ َعذابَمَعذاب َ الدَُّنَيَاَ َاَللَهم َإَنَاَنسألك َبَأََامِكَ َالسَنىَوَصفاتكَ َالَعلَيَا َ وَبَاََمكَ َالَعَّيَم َيَا َحنَان َيَا َمنَان َيَا َبدَيَع َالسَمَوَات ََ وَالَرَضَيَاَذَاَاجلَاَلَ َوَالَكرا بقبَوَل One.O Allah, accept the little they have done and overlooktheir shortcomings. O Allah, make any illnesses theysuffered an expiation for all of their sins, and make thelast of their punishment any pain they felt in this حسَن ََ اَللَهم َارَفع َدرجاتَمَ َوَاغَفَرَ َخطاياهَم َوَث َِّقلَ َموَازيَنَهَم ََ وَحاََبَهَمََحساب َهَم ََ وَمَنََاَل ََِّبَوَلدهَا world.O Allah, we ask You by means of Your beautiful namesand lofty attributes and Your greatest name, the Mostََ اَللَهم َإنَمَ َفَ َكَفالَتكَ َوَفَ َضيافَتكَ َفهَلَجزاءَ َالَضَيَفَ َإل Merciful and most Beneficent, the creator of theَ الكَرا لوَدَوَالكر heavens and the earth, Lord of Majesty and Generositythat You accept from us our prayer.O Allah, raise their ranks and forgive their sins andmake heavy their scales and do not take them fully toََ اَللَهم َإنَمَ َفَ َحاجة َإَلَ َرْحَتك َفَارَْحَهم َوَح ِّرَ َلومَهَم ََ َلَهمََعَنَدَكََمَنَغي account. O You who is more merciful to his servants6

than they are to themselves and a mother is with herٍ تقَبَلَهمََوَأنَتَر َ اضَعنَهمََغيََغضَبَان child.َ علَيَهَم O Allah, they are in your care and are Your guests, andis the treatment of a guest anything but honouringthem and showing kindness to them, for You are theMost Generous and Most Kind.O Allah, they are in need of Your Mercy so have mercyon them and make the fire of hell unlawful upon theirflesh, blood and skins. O Allah receive them in to Yourpresence with no sins or mistakes attached to them, andreceive whilst You are pleased with them and not angryََ كََاَللَهمَيَاَباَط َ ب َيَاَُميَب َدعَوَةَ َالدَاعَيَ َإَذَاَدعَاهَ َيَا ٌ َ َقري ََ يَكَممَدَصل َ ءَعَّيَام َ اء َ ِّ مَنََر with them.َ ّيَمَََلَطانَك O Allah, open for them the doors of Your Paradiseand mercy. O Allah the One who freely gives, the onewho is close and who answers the prayer of the onewho asks. O Unique and Everlasting One, grant themfrom the good that which You granted Your ProphetMuhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace)from the treasures of the heavens and theearth. [Grant them] a immense bestowal [oftreasures] from a magnificent Lord, a bestowal whichََ اَللَهم َاغَفَرَ َلَم َوَارَْحَهمَ َعددَ َمَنَ َقالاَ َوَيقوَلَا َمَن َأوَل ََ وَأحاطََبَهََعَلَمَه ََ وَأضَعافَ َذَلَكَ َأَضَعاف ًَا عددَ َبََاَ َأمدَل ََ َللَهم َيَاَجامعََالنَاسَإَلَ َيوَ َلََريَبََفَيَه ََِ الرو َُّ ََ أَجَعَهمََبَنبَ َوَلمَكامََجعَتََبَي does not run out,. You are the One who bestows in a وَاجلسَد way befitting Your magnificence and immensity ofYour dominion.O Allah, forgive them and have mercy on them by thenumber of those who said this phrase and will say itfrom the beginning of time until the end of time, andby the number which the book of Allah encompassesand His knowledge encompasses, and the multiples ofَ شَءَوَارَْحَهَمََحَتَى ََ لَ َيبَقى َمَنَ َالرَْحَة َشء َوَارَض َعنَهمَ َحتَى َلَ َيبَقى َمَن ََ الرضا َشء َاَللَهم َاغَفَرَ َلَمَ َعددَ َخلَقكَ َوَاغَفَرَ َلَمَ َمداد َََِّ كلامتكَ َوَاغَفَرَ َلَمَ َزَنةَ َعرَشَك َوَاغَفَرَ َلَمَ َرضا َنفَسك that to infinity without end which only His knowledgeَ برْحَتكَياَأرَحمَالراْحي can encompass.O Allah, O the one who will gather together people onthe day regarding which there is no doubt, join themwith our Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him andgive him peace) just as You have joined between a souland a body.O Allah, forgive them until there remains nothing fromforgiveness, have mercy upon them until nothingَ اَللهَمَ َإَنَك اجلمَيَل َوعوضتناَثوَابك َ اجلزيَلَ َفاجَعلَناَ َيا َر ّب َّمَنَ َيَأَوَيَويَقيلَويستَّ ُّل َفَ َظ ِّله ََ الَّلَيَل َوَيسن َتَاَوته َبالَّتَيَل َواعَْمَنا َفَيَهَ َعَن َالتَغَيَي ََ َليَل ,َ وَالتَبَديَل لَشَءَقَدَيَر َ ِّ َ َك remains from mercy, be pleased with them untilnothing from pleasure remains.7

O Allah, forgive them by the number of Your creation,the ink of Your words, forgive them the weight of YourThrone and forgive them as it pleases You, by means ofYour Mercy O Most Merciful One.O Allah, You have made us attend the completion ofَ وَاغَفر َاللهَمَ َلنا َوَلَباِنا َوَلَمهَاتنا َوَلَخَواننا َوَلخواتنَا َ َالناَوَخلالَتنا َ وَجلمَيَع َأَقاربنا َوَأَصَحابنا َوَْلشاِينا َفَ َالدِّ يَن َوَلكافة اْل ِّيتي the recital of Your beautiful book and in exchange havegranted us great reward, so make us O Lord from thosewho lie down, rest and take shade in its immense shade,and recite is in the best of ways, and protect us fromalterations and change in it. Make it the best of guidesَ اَللَهم َلَ َتردنا َبعَد َالدُّ عاء َخاِبيَ َ َولَ َعن َباب َجودك َ مطَروَدين َ َولَ َََِنَوَصالك َمروَميَ َياَقابل َالتاِبيَ َتب .َ رَحمَالراْحي for us to the abode of Your generosity and pleasure.O Allah, guide us by means of it to traverse the path,for You are powerful over all things.O Allah, forgive us and our fathers, our mothers,brothers, sisters, grandfathers, grandmothers, paternaluncles and aunts, maternal uncles and aunts, all of ourclose relatives, friends, Scholars in the religion, all of theMuslims, those who are living and those who areَ اَللَهَمَ َاجعل َالقرآن َالعَّيم َربيَع ًا َلقلوبنا َوتيسيَ ًا َلَمورنا َ وشفا ًءَلْدورناَوجَا ناَومغَفر ًَة ََ لذنوبناَوكفار ًة َلس ِّيئاتنا َوَنور ًا َف َأبْارناَوَع ًة َف َأرَزاقنا َ َبرْحتك َياَأرحـم ،َ وصح ًة َف َأبدانناَوصاحب ًا َف َأَفارنا َََ الرَاْحي deceased.O Allah, do not turn us back as losers after our prayer,nor rejected nor expelled from the door of Yourًَ دى َورْح ًة َولَ ََعله َعليَناَوبال ً اَللَهم َأَجَعلَه َلناَإمام ًا َوه generosity, nor bereft from reaching you. O the onewho accepts those who repent, turn towards us all bymeans of Your Mercy O Most Merciful One.O Allah, make the Quran al-Azim the life and cure ofour hearts; a removal of our worries; a light in ourhearts; increase in our character;ََ وَغضب ًاَوَنقَم ًة ََ اَللَهَمََذَ يَنَاهََوَعَ لَنَاهََوَفَ َِّهمَنَاَمَنَه َ َآنَاءَ َال َِّليَل ،َ َوَارَزَقَنَا َحسن َتََاَوَتَهَ َوَفَهم َمَعَنَاه ،َ مَا َعَ َِّلمَنَاه blessing in ourprovision; a forgiveness for our sins and an expiationfor our bad actions. Make it a light in our eyes, an َكََتَرَىض ََ اَللَهَمَ َاشَغَلَنَاَبَهَ ََُ ًا َوَعََاَنَيَ ًة َوَاجَعَلَهَ َحجَ ًة َلَنَاَوَلَ َََعَلَه expanse in our provision, health in our bodies, بَالَعَاْلَي َ ِّ َ حجَ ًةَعَلَيَنَاَمَوَلَنَاَر companion in our journeys, by means of Your MercyO Most Merciful One.O Allah make the Quran al-Azim for us a guide, light,guidance, mercy. Do not make it upon us a cause ofharm, anger or misfortuneO Allah help us to remember of it that which we haveَ َقدََاَقَََّفَنا َ فيَه َمن َالوَزار َوَالعقوَقَ َفَاَ َتؤاخذناَبالتَفَريَطَ َولَ َتَعاقبَنا ََ علَ َالتخليَط َ َواصَفح َعنا َالوزار َ َواحَلمَ َعنا َ َواَََّنَا َََ واغفرََلناَياَغفار forgotten, teach us from it that which we are ignorantof, and give us understanding of it that which you havetaught us.َ اَللَهم َب ِّيض َبَهَ َوجوَهنا َيوَ َالنُّشورَ َون ِّجنا َبَهَ َمن َدعوى َ الويل َوَال ُّثبورَ َواعَطناَبَهَ َكتبناَبَالَيامن َ َواشَملَناَبَالسعادة 8

[O Allah[ Bless us with the beautiful recitation of it andunderstanding its meanings, throughout the day andَ ورََوَأنت ٌ ورََوفضَلكَمشه ٌ للَمذك اهَالشفيَعَيو َالنُّشَوَر ٌ عليَ ٌمَشك night so that you may be pleased with us.O Allah, preoccupy us with it both privately andَ لََََعلَناَمنَالقانطي publically and make it a proof for us and do not makeَ ليسَي it a proof against us, our Lord the Lord of the Worlds.O Allah, You know how much we have transgressed inregards to its rights, and how much we have committedَ يََوف مَ ٍد in terms of sins and lack of respect towards it, so do nottake us to account for our lack of attention, and do notpunish us for our mixing up, forgive us our sins, pleaseَََ برْحتكَيَاَأرحمَالراْحي ََ اَللَهم َارَْحَنا َوارَزقَنا َبربكة َالقرآنَ َالعَّيم َخي َالدارين continue to be patient with us, cover over us [our faults]ََ َآنَالَعَََّيَمَشَالدارين and forgive us, O the One Who Forgives.O Allah, enlighten our faces by means of it [the Quran]on the day of sending forth [from our graves], and saveus by means of it from affliction and ruin. Give us byََ اَللَهم َاجَعلَناَّمنَيقَرَأهَ َفيَقَىَولَ َََعلَناَّمنَيَقرأهَ َفَيشَقَى َ نََالنارَوعتق اََتَت means of it our books in our right hand and envelop usََ لواءَمنَكملَتهََخلَق ًاَوََخلق ًاَيَاَأَرَحَمَالرَاْحَي in felicity and goodness. Grant us by means of it. My اَللَهَمََيَاَمعَ َِّلمََإَبَرَاهَيَمَعَ لَيَامَنَفَ َِّهمَنَا Lord, Your Generosity has been mentioned, and YourKindnessiswellknown,You arethe mostKnowledgeable and Most Appreciative; repel from usall that is unlawful, by the rank of the intercessor on theday we are sent forth [from our graves].O Allah, grant us rain and do not make us from thedespondentO Allah, grant us rain and do not make us from whohave given up hope.O Allah, grant rain to those suffering drought andrelieve us and all of the Ummah of Muhammad (Allahbless him and give him peace), by means of YourMercy, O Most Merciful One.َ، كَيَم َ ربناَلَتزغَقلوبناَبعد ك َرْح ًَة َ إنكَأنتَالَوَهابََوص ِّلَاللهَمََوََ ِّلمَعَلَََ ِّيدَناَممدَوعل َ َوص ِّل َاللهم َعل َآباِه َوَإخَوَانه َمن ،َ آله َوَصحبه َأَجعي ََ َاْلَوَ ِّحدَينَوَعَل ََ أبيَنا َآدَ َوَأَ َِّمنَا َحواء َوَمَن َولدَ َمن َاْلَؤَمَنَيَ َوعليَنا َمعهم َ وفيهمَبرْحتك َيَاَأَرَحـم َالراْحيَ ََبَحان َر ِّبك َرَ ِّب َالعَزة ََ عامَيْفونََوََا ٌ َعلَاْلرَليََوالَمدَهللَر ِّبَالعاْلَي O Allah, have mercy on us, bless us with the good ofboth worlds by means of the blessing of the Quran al- الفاَتةَبَنَيَةَالقَبَوَل Azim; and divert away from us by the blessings of theQuran al-Azim the evil of both worlds.O Allah make us from those who recite and ascend andnot make us from those who recite it and arewretched. Write for us by means of it salvation andfreedom from the fire of hell. Gather us our Lord underthe banner of the one whom you perfected in terms ofcharacter and physical form, O Most Merciful One.9

O Allah, O teacher of Ibrahim, teach us. O One .Glory be to You, we have no knowledge except thatwhich You have taught us, You are the MostKnowledgeable and All Wise.Our Lord, do not make our hearts swerve aside afterYou have guided us. And give us mercy from You. Youare the Ever-Giving.O Allah, send salutations and blessings be upon ourMaster Muhammad and all of his family andcompanions. O Allah send salutations upon his fathersand brethren from the Prophets and Messengers, hispeople and followers from the people who declareAllah’s Oneness.
