What is Class Charts for pupils?Class Charts allows you to keep track of your achievements and behaviour, buy rewardsfrom the Reward store, stay on top of your homework, keep track of scheduled detentions,view your timetable, check your attendance, create wellbeing submissions and viewannouncements from your school.Class Charts for students can be accessed via our website, or by our iOS and Android apps.You can access the student website and links to the student apps at:https://www.classcharts.com/student/loginYou should have received aStudent code from yourschool, which will look similarto the example code shown onthe right.This code is used to log intoyour student account, which iscovered on the next page.2

Logging in to Class ChartsFollow the steps below to access your student account.1. Enter your email addressand password into the fieldsprovided.2. Click on the Log in button.3. Enter your date of birth ifprompted and click on the OKbutton.3

BehaviourIf your school has decided to sharebehaviour information, you will see theBehaviour tab in your account.Selecting this tab will display youroverall behaviour in the form of a piechart and a bar graph.By default, the displayed date range is31 days . To view a different range ofbehaviour data, click on the Datebutton.Below these graphs you willfind a list of behaviour activity.These display the behaviourthat was awarded, when it wasawarded, who awarded thebehaviour, the lesson thebehaviour was awarded in,and how many points theaward is worth.The level of detail within eachbehaviour award depends onthe settings that your schoolhas enabled.4

HomeworkIf your school has decided to sharehomework with pupils, you will see theHomework tab in your account.Selecting this tab will display a list ofthe homework tasks which you havebeen given.To change the date range fordisplayed homework tasks, click on theorange Date button.To display tasks in the order they wereset, click on the Issue Date buttonTo display tasks in the order they areexpected to be handed in, click on theDue date button.To mark a homework task ascompleted, view the homework task ofyour choice in more detail and tick theCompleted? checkbox.To view a homework task inmore detail, click on theexpand icon in the bottomright hand corner of thehomework tile.A popup will appear thatcontains the a descriptionof the homework task, theestimated completion timeand any links orattachments that may havebeen included.5

Homework status categoriesTo-Do: These are homeworktasks that you need tocomplete. Once you havecompleted them, tick thecheckbox.Completed: These are homeworktasks that you have ticked ascompleted but have not beenmarked by your teacher.Late: These are homeworktasks that have been handedin past the deadline.Not submitted: These arehomework tasks that were nothanded in on time.Submitted: These arehomework tasks that have beenhanded in on time.6

Keeping track of homeworkAs you are assigned homework tasks,you may want track of how you areprogressing for the current week.The three banners above thehomework status categories count thenumber of homework tasks that aredue this week, how many of thosetasks you have completed and howmany tasks you still need to complete.To only see homework tasks thatrequire an attachment submission, tickthe checkbox labelled Requiressubmission.If you are viewing the Homework tab via a desktop or laptop, expanding a homework statuscategory will display a table overview of each homework task for the selected date range.7

Homework attachment submissionsFor certain homework tasks,you may be asked by yourteacher to upload your workas an attachment.When viewing a homeworktask in more detail, you willsee the Upload attachmentbutton if your teacher isexpecting your work to beuploaded.To submit a homeworkattachment, click on theUpload attachment buttonand select the files of yourchoice. Successfully uploadedfiles will then appear abovethe button.If your teacher leavesfeedback on one of yourhomework attachments, youwill see a Feedback iconappear on the associatedhomework task.To view the feedback, click onthe expand icon in the bottomright hand corner of thehomework tile. Your teacher’sfeedback will appear directlybelow your homeworkattachment.8

DetentionsIf your school has decided to share detentioninformation with pupils, you will see theDetentions tab in your account.Selecting this tab will display a list ofdetentions which have been set for you.Detentions fall under 4 categories:Attended, Not attended, Pending andUpscaled.Attended: You have sat this detention.Not attended: You have not sat thisdetention.Pending: This detention has not been satand has not been marked as Attended / Notattended by your teacher.Upscaled: This detention has escalated intoanother type of detention.To view more information about aspecific detention, click on the arrowicon.This will bring up a popup thatdescribes the detention, including thelocation for the detention, theawarding teacher and schedulinginformation.9

AttendanceIf your school has decided to share attendance information with pupils, you will see theAttendance tab in your account.Selecting this tab willpresent your attendancedata for the past 31 days.To change the displayedtimeframe of attendancerecords, click on the orangeDate button and select thedate range of your choice.Attendance records fallunder four categories:Present, Late, Authorisedabsence and Unauthorisedabsence.Present: You attended thelesson.Late: You were late to thelesson.Authorised absence: Youdid not attend the lesson,but had a valid reason fordoing so.Unauthorised absence: Youdid not attend the lessonand did not have a validreason to do so.10

TimetableIf your school has decided to share timetable data with pupils, you will see the Timetable tabin your account.Selecting this tab willpresent you with yourtimetable for the currentday. This includes thetime for each lesson, thelesson name, theteacher’s name, the roomwhere the lesson will takeplace and the lessonsubject. If your teacherhas left timetable notes,you will also see them forthe lesson in yourtimetable.Your current lesson willbe highlighted in blue, asshown on the right.To view your timetablefor another day of theweek, click on one of theother displayed datesalong the top of thetimetable.To change the displayedweek, click on the orangeDate button and select adate from the week ofyour choice.11

ClassesIf your school has decided to share class data with pupils, you will see the Classes tab in youraccount.Selecting this tab willpresent you with a list ofyour classes. Each classtile will display the classname, the class teacher,the subject and the roomthe class takes place in (ifapplicable).To view the full list ofteachers for a specificclass, click on the Showall teachers button forthe class of your choice.12

Reward StoreIf your school has a reward store, you will see the Rewards tab in your account.Selecting this tab willpresent you with therewards that are availableand how many pointsthey cost.The Balance numbershows how many pointsyou have available tospend.To purchase a reward,simply click on thePurchase button below areward.If you have enoughpoints, the cost will betaken away from yourbalance and the rewardwill be successfullypurchased.13
