Box 129 · Great Falls, MT 59403-0129 · GreatFallsRescueMission.org

“Coming here, my relationshiphas grown strongerwith.”GodSamantha’s story is different from many of the guests hereat Great Falls Rescue Mission in that she didn’t experienceissues with drugs or alcohol. Instead, her journey here beganafter a bad relationship ended. At age 30, Samantha found herself alone, struggling to carefor her young daughter. A few years after that, Samantha wasdevastated when her only sister, who she was very closeto, died unexpectedly in a car accident. “It seemed that mylife was just going downhill ever since,” she says. “I didn’twant to work. I didn’t want to do anything.”Samantha is a cook, with her culinary arts certification. But the emptiness in her life left her unable to even workat the job she loved when she was grieving for her sister. She moved back to be closer to her mom, and that’s whenSamantha heard about the Mission. In our care, Samantha has undergone counseling to learnhow to work through her grief and heal from her losses.“It’s been eight years since my sister passed away. This yearwas the first time since she’s been gone that I haven’t cried. My faith and healing at the Mission allowed me to be moreaccepting of it, rather than being sad and depressed.”“ There’s a reason why Godput you in that place, andthis is what you need to do.”Samantha has also continued healing her broken heartthrough parenting classes, Bible study and attendingChrist-centered activities with her 9-year-old daughter. Sheis attending Discipleship Classes at the Mission and hopesthat soon she can find a place of their own to move into.“The Mission has changed my life. They give peoplethe opportunity to get closer and have a better relationship with God. I’ve gotten to know myself better since I’vebeen here. I know that I can rely on God through anything.”Samantha is excited for her future, and thankful for thesupport of friends like you along her journey to find healingand peace. Thank you for your continued generosity.3
