PAGE 7Winninga Fantastic Prizeby Nancy RarusSometimes (really, rarely) I win a fantastic prize. At the end of one Virtual Celebrate Communication event, there was a spin the wheel game for five different winners to win a variety of 5 prizes. I lucked out and got aPPE [Personal Protective Equipment] backpack, which includes protective clothing, helmets, goggles, or othergarments or equipment designed to protect the wearer’s body from injury or infection. The hazards addressedby protective equipment include physical, electrical, heat, chemicals, biohazards, or airborne particulatematter. It cost Fairfax County 19.60 to mail it to me. Yes, it is so heavy and I’m hoping I will never need to wear it.You can see from the two flap pockets what items are in it. Besides those, there were oodles of wipettes, a canopener, and other things which one would need to go on a search and rescue trek.I have not checked to see if waterproofed matches are included. I definitely am not going to open it up againonly to repack it.HH Committeefor 2020-2021Chair: Don AmesVice Chair: Jill MoebusSecretary: Cheryl RockburnTreasurer: Steve WilliamsMembers At Large: Tom Dowling Ross Gilson Kea Manfredonio Rocky RockburnEx Officio: Nancy RarusSunshine Club: Lynn KeefeMembership: Pat BeechNewsletter Editor: Pat BeechMemorial: Pat Beech Peggy DanielsHistorian: Pat BeechFood Committee: Vacant
