ETCHANTSSelect HV Etch w/BAC,Uni-Etch w/BAC,Etch-37 w/ BACPhosphoric Acid Etchants withBenzalkonium Chloride (BAC)SELECT HV ETCH is a 35% high-viscosity phosphoric acidetchant with BAC. It is specifically formulated for pinpoint placement to etch enamel when using a self-etchadhesive.UNI-ETCH w/BAC and ETCH-37 w/BAC are 32% and 37%semi-gel phosphoric acid etchants with BAC. They arespecifically formulated to be easily applied to largersurface areas and rinsed cleanly with no residue.Clinical Significance:For etching tooth structure prior to bondingUNIQUE BENEFITSContains benzalkonium chloride (BAC),an antimicrobial agent. In-vitro researchshows it is effective againstStreptococcus mutans1.NOTE: Inclusion of BAC has not beenshown to correlate with a reduction insecondary decay in patients. In-vivoclinical studies to evaluate the effectsof BAC on oral bacteria or caries havenot been performed.Dentistry courtesy of Dr. Michael MorganORDERING INFORMATIONSelect HV Etch w/BACBulk Syringe KitBulk Syringe Refill (30ml)4 Syringe Package (5g ea.)E-59200KE-59160PE-59110PUni-Etch w/BACBulk Syringe Refill (30ml)4 Syringe Package (5g ea.)Bulk Bottle (30g)E-56621PE-5502EBME-5637EBEtch-37 w/BACBulk Syringe Refill (30ml)4 Syringe Package (5g ea.)Bulk Bottle (30g)E-56741PE-5503EBME-5638EBSelect HV Etch w/BAC demonstratingpin-point placement on enamel1Dr. Daniel Chan, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. TECHNIQUEPorcelain Veneer Cementation*OR1. Prepare the internal surface of the restoration as instructed by the laboratory:a. Porcelain/Lithium Disilicate:If needed, etch the veneer withhydrofluoric acid (4% PorcelainEtchant or 9.5% Porcelain Etchant)according to the manufacturer’sinstructions.b. Apply a thin coat of silane(Porcelain Primer) to the internalsurface. Wait for 30 seconds, or drywith (warm) air.2. Remove the temporaryrestorations and clean thepreps with Cavity Cleanser andpumice slurry. Rinse thoroughly.3. Try in the restorations using thecorresponding shade of watersoluble try-in paste (eCEMENT Try-In or Choice 2 Try-In Paste).Remove the veneers and eitherclean with etchant (Uni-Etch w/BAC or Select HV Etch w/BAC)and rinse thoroughly, orultrasonicate in water or alcohol for2-3 minutes. Dry the restorations.4. Isolate. Etch preps with Uni-Etchw/BAC or Select HV Etch w/BAC for15 seconds, then rinse thoroughly.5. Dispense Universal Primer &mix (or All-Bond Universal ) ina mixing well. Apply 2 separatecoats, agitating each coat for10-15 seconds.6. Gently air dry until there isno visible movement of theadhesive. Then thoroughlyair dry with greater airpressure. The surface shouldappear shiny, otherwise applyadditional coats.7. Light cure for 10 seconds.8. Apply a thin layer of HEMA-freeresin (Porcelain Bonding Resin) tothe internal surface of the veneer.Do NOT light cure.* Refer to instructions for complete details.9. Using a light-cured resin cement(eCEMENT LC or Choice 2), fill theinternal surface of the restorationwith the cement.10. Seat with gentle, passive pressureand light-cure for 2-3 seconds totack the veneer into place. Removeexcess cement, then light cure eachveneer for 40 seconds.See page 5 for more product information.10Where Chemistry and Oral Health Meet

TECHNIQUEPost Cementation & Core Build-up*1. If using the TOTAL-ETCHINGTECHNIQUE, etch the canal withUni-Etch w/BAC or Select HV Etchw/BAC for 15 seconds. If using theSELF-ETCHING TECHNIQUE, proceedto the next step.2. Clean and irrigate. Rinse canal withwater. Remove excess water with abrief burst of air and paper point(s) toremove any pooled water from thecanal.3. Dispense Universal Primer .Mix adhesive.4. With an endodontic brush, apply andscrub 2 separate coats of UniversalPrimer into the canal. Remove excesspooling of material with paper pointsand light suction. Strongly air dry.5. Determine the post lengthaccording to the manufacturer’sinstructions.6. Coat the post with UniversalPrimer. Air dry.7. Inject Core-Flo DC orCore-Flo DC Lite into the canal.8. Coat the apical end of thepost with Core-Flo DC orCore-Flo DC Lite. Seat the postinto the canal gently.9. Continue to express Core-Flo DCor Core-Flo DC Lite around the postand build up the core to the desiredheight and shape.
