ANNEXURE-IGuidelines for providing Large Print/ Magnified Text books (Preschool to ClassVIII) to Children with Low Vision under Inclusive Education — Samagra Shiksha for2020-211. The large print/ magnified text printed books will be provided to children with lowvision studying in class Pre-School to Class VIII in Schools of Govt, Govt Aided,MCD, MCD Aided, NDMC, NDMC aided, and DCB.2. The arnoulit towards large print/magi dried text printed books for each Child withLow Vision is as below:Children studying in the Pre-School to Class V — Rs. 250/Children studying in the Class VI to VIII — Rs. 400/3. The concerned HOS are directed to make magnified photocopies of text books ofconcemed class and make available to Children with Low Vision enrolled in theschools concerned for 2020-21 as per number of beneficiaries given atAnnexure-II.4. HOS are also directed to not to distribute the amount directly to Children with LowVision. The amount as per said annexure already transferred in the SamagraShiksha bank account of school.5. If any school has more children with low vision than the details given inAnnexure-Il, then concerned HOS in consultation with TGT-SpecialEducation Teacher/Special Educator/Resource Person (CWSN) shallidentify the child/children with higher need for large print/magnified textbooks and make the same available to him/her.6. In case of rest of the children with low vision who are not provided with the largeprint/magnified text book (if any), concerned HOS shall submit requisition withdetails of such children to District Coordinator (IE) latest by 31.01.2021. Thecompiled data at district level in this regard shall be submitted by districtauthorities to IEB latest by 15.02.2021.Further, if any schools have less children with low vision than the data given inAnnexure-II, in that case HOS shall refund the extra fund to Accountant,Samagra Shiksha of concerned DPO through cheque in favour of"SAMAGRA SHIKSHA" latest by 31.01.2021. DPO Accountant shall submit allcheques along with list of schools to Account Branch, Samagra Shikhsha HQ,Lucknow Road Delhi latest by 26.02.2021.8. The DDEs (District) / DPOs shall ensure that children with low vision getsmagnified photocopies of text books.9. The concerned HOS of Govt. and Govt. Aided Schools & schools of local bodiesi.e. MCD, MCD Aided, NDMC, NDMC Aided and DCB Schools shall submit thelist of text books whose magnified photocopies are made for each Child with LowVision to the concerned DPO within 20 days of receipt of the fund.10.The District Coordinator (IE) shall submit a report to Inclusive Education Branchbased on the details submitted by HOS of concerned managements.(RAMCHANVDRA SHINGARE)JOINT DIRECTOR OF EDUCATION (IEB)
