Witha caring professional staff and the help of more than 500 volunteers, we assist people who havelost their ability to lead independent lives. Each night, over 100 people seek shelter or housing inone of our many programs. While 70% of our funding comes from private individuals and foundations,we are publicly supported by the State of CT, and the Towns of Westport, Weston and Wilton.Homes with Hope has grown significantly since first opening in 1983, when food and shelter forhomeless people were offered in an abandoned firehouse. The agency realized that food and shelteralone were not enough to help people move from homelessness to self-reliance. In response, Homeswith Hope expanded the support services and housing options available to clients by providing theresources needed for them to be successful in their journey out of homelessness. We fulfill our missionthrough a continuum of services that starts with feeding the hungry through our Community Kitchenand Food Pantry. This includes emergency shelters, Permanent Supportive Housing, case managementservices, pre-employment training, and mentoring.To learn more visit our website at www.hwhct.org
