Reduced Fare Program People with disabilities and senior citizens age 62 andabove are eligible for the reduced fare program at anytime on buses, light rail, and trains. For people with disabilities a NJ TRANSIT Reduced Farecard or Medicare card is required to take advantage ofthe reduced fare program. For senior citizens age 62 and above, a NJ TRANSITReduced Fare Card or any identification that shows theirdate of birth enables them to take advantage of thereduced fare program.
