Chapter 5Installing IPM on WindowsOverview of Installing IPM on Windows Server protocols—Do not run the IPM server as a DHCP client; it must havea static IP address. The IPM server must have a valid DNS address thatmatches its IP address as well. Before you install IPM on a Windows system, verify the following: IPM server database port number, if you are installing only the IPM server,or the IPM server and client. The default is 44341/tcp. Name of the host on which the IPM server is installed, if you are installingonly the IPM client. IPM Naming Server port number. The default is 44342/udp. IPM Web Server port number.
