A person who not only makes chorus life better but takes that extra step and carriesthe ‘spirit’ of Sweet Adelines beyond her chorus.In 2017 we would like each chorus to nominate their own ‘Spirit of Sweet Adeline’ person.If you know such a person and would like to nominate them for the award, please fill out the slipbelow and return to Julie Scoggins.Nominations must be received by 19 March 2017, complete with photo that can be printed anddisplayed on notice board of nominees. The award will be presented at the Opening Ceremony on20 April 2017 at the Dunedin Town Hall. Page 24. Permission to appear in Compilation DVDRegion 35 wishes to produce compilation DVDs including all performances from the choruscontest and the top 10 quartets from the quartet contest. We require permission from allcompetitors to be included on the recordings. Choruses competing have been provided with aseparate form to be completed.Chorus Directors and Presidents/Team Leaders will need to sign on behalf of all chorusmembers. Please make sure you tell your chorus you have done so, and that, in competing withyour chorus each individual member implies consent to be included on the DVD.(Chorus name) consents to the freeuse of our 2017 regional chorus competition performance in a compilation video to beproduced by Region 35 and made available for sale to members.5. Stage Assistance required.The traffic pattern crew needs to be made aware of any competitors with mobility problems. Ifany member of your chorus requires assistance please write their name and note the type ofassistance required, eg wheelchair. If possible, that person should attend and remain behindafter the briefing on Thursday evening so the backstage crew can discuss with them theassistance required. If a riser chair is being used someone who is able to affix it securely to therisers should also attend the briefing. The Regional Management Team has determined that inthe interests of safety of all concerned, only riser chairs that can be securely fixed to the riserswill be permitted at regional convention.
