Aims and Objectives of the Scheme of Studies-20181.To prescribe the subjects to be taught at various gradesso as to impart high quality student centered learning.2. To introduce emerging trends, modern developments andscientific learning in various subjects at appropriate levels.3. To promote awareness about national integration,patriotism and ideology of Islamic Republic of Pakistanwithunderstanding to accept diverse views, beliefs and faiths.4. To produce disciplined, motivated and enlightened youthwith high moral character, sound ethical values andresilience to face adversities and challenges.5. To produce creative, constructive, communicative andcritical thinking youth with clear concepts and in-depthknowledge, ready to participate in the highly competitiveglobalized knowledge-based economy.6. To bring students of various Wafaq-ul-Madaris intomainstream of education.

Examination Systema. Students will be assessed in various subjects at the endof each academic year by the concerned educationalinstitution. However, for Class V and VIII , examinationshall be conducted by Punjab Examination Commission(PEC) and Secondary & Higher Secondary Examinationsbythe BISEs / respective Wafaq-ul-Madaris.b. The existing examination system shall gradually betransformed to Curriculum based evaluation under aphased programme:Phase-I: All science subjects of Grades III to XII shall beassessed on Curriculum based exams.Phase-II: All Science subjects and all Compulsory / Coresubjects shall have curriculum based exams.Phase-III: All elective subjects shall also have curriculumbased exams.

TextbooksInitially there shall be one textbook for every subject.However, with the introduction of curriculum basedexamination system, multiple textbooks shall also beintroduced under a phased programme:Phase-I: Multiple textbooks shall be introduced forScience Subjects of Grades III to XII.Phase-II: Multiple textbooks shall be introduced for allcompulsory / core subjects.Phase-III:Multiple textbooks shall also be introducedfor all elective subjects.
