Check you’re setup on Cloud VoiceYour phone comes with everything you need toget set up on Cloud Voice.Once your phone’s connected to thenetwork, it’ll update its firmware. Phone displayIdle statusPhone statusThe idle screen displays your extension number, the timeand date, and the functions of the four soft keys.You can view your phone status using either the phone userscreen or web user screen. Attended Transfer: transfer a callhaving spoken to the recipient first.to transfer the call to, or pressthe Directory soft key to find thenumber from directory or history. Enter the number you want totransfer the call to. Press Press the Tran soft key tocomplete the transfer. After the person answers thecall, press the Tran soft key tocomplete the transfer.The call will then be connected to thenumber you’re transferring it to.To perform a semi-attendedtransfer Press the Tran soft key during a call. Then either: Enter the number you want totransfer the call to. Press the Directory soft key tofind the number of directory orHistory. Pressorto dial out. Press the Tran soft key tocomplete the transfer when youhear the target phone ringing.To perform an attended transfer Press the Tran soft key during a call. Either enter the number you wantorto dial out. If you’re using a handset, completethe transfer by hanging it up. Youcan cancel a transfer before thecall’s connected by pressing theCancel soft key.Ending callsThere are three ways to end a call: If you’re using the handset, pressthe Cancel soft key or hang up thehandset. If you’re using the headset, pressthe Cancel soft key. If you’re using the speakerphone,pressor the Cancel soft key. Dial the number of the next personyou want to join the call and press,, or the Send soft key. When they answer, press the Confsoft key again. Repeat the process until everyonehas joined the conference call.During your conference call, you can: Press the Hold soft key to placethe conference call on hold. Press the Split soft key to split thecall into two individual calls. Press the New Call soft key tomake a new call. Press the Back soft key to return tothe previous screen. Press thethe call.Mute key to mute Press the Cancel soft key to endthe call.Conference callsTo set up a conference call: Dial the first person then press theConf soft key; they’ll be put on hold.12

Do Not Disturb (DND)To switch on Do Not Disturb, press the DND soft keywhen the phone’s idle. The DND icon on the phonescreen shows that it’s in operation.DND rejects incoming calls automatically; whenthey’re rejected, ‘n Missed Call(s)’ (with ‘n’indicating the number of calls missed) will show onthe phone display. Press the Option soft key, and then select Detailfrom the prompt list. The details of the callyou’ve selected will appear on the screen.To make a call to a number on your call history list: Press the History soft key. Pressorto switch between All, Placed,Received, Missed and Forwarded call lists. Pressorto select the call you want. Press the Send soft key.Contact directoryusing the keypad. The contact that matches thecharacters entered will appear on the screen.Press the Send soft key to call the contact.VoicemailWhen you get a new voicemail your phone will playan alert tone, and its power indicator LED will flashred slowly. The phone screen will also display aprompt message and show an icon.Press the Mailkey or the Connect soft key todial the voicemail access code. Follow the voiceinstructions to listen to your voicemail.Your contact directory is managed by Cloud Voice.Take a look at the user feature guide to find out more.You can search for a contact in the corporatedirectory, or simply dial a contact number from it.HistoryTo view your call history, press the History soft key.The phone screen will show all your call records.To look for a specific call: Pressorto switch between All, Placed,Received, Missed and Forwarded call lists. Pressorto select the call you want.To access your corporate directory, press theDirectory soft key. Select the contact group you’relooking for, and then press the Enter soft key. Yourcorporate contact list will appear on the screen.Press the Back soft key at any time to go back to theprevious screen.To search for a contact in your corporate directory,press the Directory soft key. Select the contactgroup you’re looking for, and then press the Entersoft key. Then press the Search soft key.Enter a few continuous characters of the contactname or continuous numbers of the contact number13

Additional FeaturesYou can use your Yealink T46U phone with an RJ9 headset,USB headset, wireless headset adapter, Bluetooth dongleor Wi-Fi dongle as accessories. Please refer to the userguides of each accessory for details.HeadsetTo use a headset: RJ9 headset: connect an RJ9 headset to theheadset port of your phone. USB headset: connect a USB headset to the USBport of your phone. Wireless headset via adapter: connect a Yealinkwireless headset adapter EHS40 to the USBport of your phone, then connect your wirelessheadset to the EHS40.Bluetooth dongleYou can connect your phone to a Bluetoothenabled headset or mobile phone. The phone canconnect to two Bluetooth devices at the same time.Using Bluetooth: Bluetooth headset: connect your YealinkBluetooth dongle to the USB port of your phoneand enable Bluetooth, then pair your phone withBluetooth headset. You can use your Bluetoothheadset to handle calls. Please refer to the userguide of the Bluetooth headset for instructions. Mobile phone: connect your Yealink Bluetoothdongle to the USB port of your phone andenable Bluetooth, then pair your phone withyour mobile phone. You can then sync yourmobile contacts to your Yealink phone so it canhandle mobile calls.Wi-Fi dongleYou can connect your Yealink T46U to awireless network.To use Wi-Fi: Connect your Yealink Wi-Fi dongle to the USBport of your phone, and enable Wi-Fi. Scan and select the desired wireless networkto connect.14

General informationImportant – 999 or 112emergency calls Your Cloud Voice number isregistered to a specific address,so when you make a 999 or 112call from your phone number,that’s the address the emergencyservices will see. If you use Cloud Voice at adifferent address, the registeredaddress won’t automaticallychange. So if your work locationchanges, please let youradministrator know so they canupdate your registered address. You might not be able to make999 or 112 calls if there’s a poweror network failure, or you’reusing the service from an appor mobile phone.Safety informationDo not open the handset or thebase. This could expose you to highvoltages or other risks. If your phoneneeds to be repaired, call us on 0800389 0537 and we’ll be able to help.CleaningProduct disposal instructionsGuaranteeClean the handset and base with adamp (not wet) cloth, or an antistaticwipe.
