GOD HAS GIVEN USIMMEASURABLY MOREThan we had dared ask or imagine!Dear Friends,The 2019-2020 academic year turned out to be the most memorable in our67-year history! We had never imagined when we began classes in the fall of2019 that we would finish the year with those classes entirely online, due to aglobal pandemic. Or that our operations will go online, along with our beautifullibrary. What a year it was!We had begun to imagine in the summer of 2019 that, perhaps, God had givenus an opportunity to expand our mission and become a pioneer in the nextgeneration of theological education. We had just received an invitation fromSioux Falls Seminary to partner with them and other seminaries for a newmodel of learning that was, well, not so new after all, but deeply rooted in thementoring relationships of Scripture. We spent much of this past year listening,evaluating, discerning, and then deciding to accept that invitation, and thenmoving forward into that new relationship with boldness.The global pandemic is not over and the institutional union is not yet complete,so we are a ministry in transition. But who isn’t right now? It seems that nearlyeverything is up in the air these days, except this one thing: the faithfulness ofGod. And God’s faithfulness shows up in every page of this report for, despiteeverything, 2019-2020 was a tremendously good year for the ministry ofEvangelical Seminary! And this current year is turning out to be likewise, due tothe goodness of God and yourselves. He has given us “immeasurably more”than we had dared ask or imagine!
