Talk with childrenabout what they see. Point out the color of their eyes, the color of their hair, and whatmakes them special. Have each child say, “Godmade me.”After everyone has looked through the oval, say: Thank you, God, for making allof us. Look, we can see ourselves in the mirror! As you allow each child to lookin the silver metallic paper, ask: Whose face is in the mirror? (Mine; Madison’s.) What color are your eyes? (Black; brown; blue.) Who made you? (God made me.)Say: God made you, and God made me. God made us in his image. Thatmeans God made us like him. God made us with eyes and noses and earsand tongues and hair.Ask: Where is your hair? Touch your hair and wait for children to repeat theaction. What color is your hair? (Brown; yellow; red.)God gave each one of us a head. Where is your head? For example, they might make anoise like a baby crying, a car starting, or a dog barking. Give each toddler an opportunity to make a noise forthe other children to guess. Remind children that God gave us ears to hear with.n Do What I DoLead children in fun actions that let them follow their natural desire to wiggle and move. Encourage them todo exactly what you do. Start with simple movements such as waving your arms or blinking your eyes. Then puttwo movements together, such as clapping and hopping or hopping on one leg and then on the other.
