THE 7th WORLD JUNIOR WUSHU CHAMPIONSHIPSREGULATIONSThe 7thWorld Junior Wushu Championships (7thWJWC) is the official world championship event which ishosted by the International Wushu Federation. The World Junior Wushu Championships takes placebiennially and is the official pinnacle junior championships of the IWUF and features its highestcompetitive level amongst its junior athletes. The Brazilian Wushu Confederation is responsible for theorganization of the 7thWJWC under the auspices of the IWUF.A. DATE AND PLACEThe 7th WJWC will be held from July 9th to July 17th, 2018 in Brasilia, Brazil.B. VENUES1. Competition Venue: Nilson Nelson Gymnasium, SRPN - Brasília, DF, 70070-705, Brasilia, Brazil2. E. ENTRIES1. Preliminary EntriesThe Preliminary Entry Forms must state the exact number of competitors taking part in theevents. The preliminary entry forms must reach the Organizing Committee and the IWUFSecretariat no later than 24:00 (Brazil & Beijing Time respectively) April 25th, 2018. TECHNICAL OFFICIALSEach participating taolu Team may submit one IWUF certified taolu judge who is holding a validcertificate at the time of competition. Each participating sanda team may submit one IWUFcertified sanda judge who is holding a valid certificate at the time of competition. All internationaljudges must present their valid certificates issued by IWUF to the Organizing Committee uponregistration. Judges must have participated in and passed the examination of the 2014, 2016 or2018 IWUF International Judges Examination Course in order to qualify to judge at the 7th WJWC.H. TECHNICAL MEETINGThe Technical Meeting for team managers and coaches will take place at 14:00 (Brazil Time) on July11th, 2018 during which all matters related to the competition will be announced. Each team shouldsend two representatives for taolu and two representatives for sanda to attend this meeting.I. DRAWING – LOTS CEREMONYThe drawing-lots of the 7th WJWC will be conducted by the IWUF Technical Committee at 16:00(Brazil Time) on July 11th, 2018. Each team may send two taolu and two sanda representatives toattend the ceremony. The IWUF Technical Committee will draw on behalf of the teams that areunable to send a representative to attend.J. WEIGHING-IN1. The initial weighing-in for sanda athletes will take place at 07:00 (Brazil Time) on July 11th, 2018.2. The weighing-in will be conducted on daily basis. The venue for weighing-in will be circulated bythe Organizing Committee in due course.K. PLACING & AWARDS1. Taolu:- 1st place- 2nd place- 3rd place- 4th – 8th place2. Sanda:- 1st place- 2nd place- 3rd place (juxtaposition)L. The international airfare and related travel expenses, as well as accommodation/participation fees ofall participants shall be borne by the teams themselves. The accommodation/participation fees are asfollows: For Athletes, Team Officials & Observers: US 80 per person per day (double room) – 3 Star Hotel US 120 per person per day (single room) – 3 Star Hotel US 110 per person per day (double room) – 4 Star Hotel US 180 per person per day (single room) – 4 Star Hotel US 120 per person per day (double room) – 5 Star Hotel US 195 per person per day (single room) – 5 Star Hotel For Judges: US 110 per person per day (double room) – 4 Star Hotel US 180 per person per day (single room) – 4 Star Hotel--The above fees include meals, accommodation, event participation and pick-up/drop-off toand from the airport. The participating teams shall pay their participation fees in full to theorganizing committee by international wire transfer with the submission of their finalentries.It is important to note that each national/regional federation will be fully responsible forthe total costs stated on their team’s final registration irrespective of whether or not all theregistered participants actually arrive and participate in the championships.1.The Organizing Committee will arrange the accommodation and transportation forparticipating teams from 06:00 July 9th, 2018 to 24:00 July 16th, 2018 (Brazil Time). If any teamis arriving earlier or departing later than the required date, they should inform the OrganizingCommittee to arrange their accommodation arrangements before June 8th, 2018. Participantsarriving early or departing late may be subject to additional costs related thereto which shallbe borne by the participants themselves.2.The IWUF and Organizing Committee require that all participating teams lodge at thedesignated hotels arranged by the Organizing Committee. Those teams who wish to stay atanother hotel/ location, due to special requirements, must first receive approval from theOrganizing Committee in order to do so. In such cases, each person is required to pay aparticipation fee of US 200 person. These participants are responsible for their owntransportation, meals and all other aspects of their accommodation at their own expense andshall accept responsibility for consequences arising as a result of this arrangement.3.Payment MethodsParticipating teams are required to pay the relevant participation fees by international wiretransfer with their final entry submission. Following the submission of a final entry, the5 P a g e

organizing committee will contact each team and provide them with their invoice, which willstate totals and bank/payment details. Teams are then required to transfer the full amount asstated on the invoice. All international wire transfer and bank fees are to be paid by the teamstransferring the funds themselves. Proof of full payment should be sent to the organizingcommittee by email and brought along to Brasilia by the team leader. The organizingcommittee requires that all participation fees are to be paid in advance in order to secureaccommodation as required by the official hotels. The organizing committee will be unable toguarantee a team's required accommodation without pre-payment in full. Teams arerequested to be mindful of this when submitting their final registration.M. DOPING CONTROLDoping control will be conducted during the 7th WJWC according to the requirements of the IOCand World Anti-Doping Agency, and will follow the procedure prescribed in the IWUF Anti-DopingRules. The number of tests will be decided by the IWUF. If an athlete is found have positively dopedthrough the doping process, he/she will be dealt with in accordance with the IWUF Anti-DopingRules.N. OTHER MATTERSEach team is required to bring the following:1. 3 x National flags, regional flags or federation flags (1m 2m);2. Their national anthem or federation song on CD and USB;3. 3 x Colour photos (passport size) per team member;4. Printed and stamped Final Entry Form;5. Valid Health Certificates of all athletes and Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate (valid forthe respective country or region);6. Completed and signed 7th WJWC “Waiver of Liabilities” for each participant.NOTE: Some of the above items will be required to be submitted online digitally prior toarrival. TAOLU COMPETITIONA. COMPETITION EVENTS1. Group A: Optional Routine or 3rd Set of International Competition Routine: Changquan,Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu, Taijiquan, Taijijian, Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun; Duilian Group A athletes are permitted to either perform the 3rd set of InternationalCompetition Routine or compile an optional routine. All routines are permitted as longas they conform to the compulsory technique content and time requirements of eachevent. With that, athletes may include degree of difficulty techniques or not. Thecompetition will be conducted in accordance with the 2005 edition of the “IWUF Rulesfor International Wushu Taolu Competition” and utilize the Non-Degree of DifficultyScoring Method (comprising of A Group – Quality of Movements Scoring & B Group –Overall Performance Scoring only)2. Group B: Changquan, Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu (1st Set of International CompetitionTaolu), Nanquan, Nandao, Nangun (International Compulsory Routine) 42 Forms Taijiquan, 42Forms Taijijian3. Group C: Changquan (No.3 Elementary Routine), Daoshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Gunshu(Elementary Routine)B. PARTICIPATION METHODS1. Each country or region may enter one (1) team.2. Each taolu team shall be composed of a maximum of sixteen (16) members including: one (1)team leader, two (2) coaches and one (1) doctor and the following competitors:- Group A: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1,2000 – December 31, 2002)- Group B: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1,2003 – December 31, 2005)- Group C: 4 competitors (2 boys and 2 girls, who were born between January 1,2006 – December 31, 2011) Each Taolu competitor of Group A may enter at most 4 competition events(1 bare-handed routine, 1 short weapon routine, 1 long weapon routineand 1 dual event) Each Taolu competitor of Group B may at most enter 3 competition events(1 bare-handed routine, 1 short weapon routine, and 1 long weaponroutine) Each Taolu competitor of Group C may at most enter 2 competition events(1 bare-handed routine, 1 weapon routine: either 1 short weapon or 1long weapon)3. Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (includingelectrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 days prior to the star of the7 P a g e

competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental Injury Insurance Certificate. Allcompetitors are required to submit a completed and signed waiver of liabilities form, which hasbeen signed by the competitor’s parent or legal guardian.C. COMPETITION METHODS1. Competition includes individual competition only.2. Unless otherwise stated within these regulations, the competition will be conducted inaccordance with the 2005 edition of the “IWUF Rules for International Wushu TaoluCompetition” and utilize the Non-Degree of Difficulty Scoring Method (comprising of A Group –Quality of Movements Scoring & B Group – Overall Performance Scoring only).3. Time limit: Group A Optional Routines:o For Changquan, Daoshu, Gunshu, Jianshu, Qiangshu, Nanquan, Nangun &Nandao, each routine’s duration shall be no less than one minute and twentyseconds (1min 20s).o For Taijiquan and Taijijian, each routine’s duration shall be between three (3) andfour (4) minutes Group B Taijiquan & Taijijian Routines:o 42 Forms Taijiquan: 5-6 minutes; 42 Forms Taijijian Routine: 3-4 minutes. All other routines:o There is no time requirement for other events.4. The power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF.D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT1.Competitors shall wear wushu competition costumes in compliance with the rules during allevents. This must be brought & prepared by the competitors themselves.All weaponry must conform to the requirements as stipulated in the rules. This must beprovided by the competitors themselves.E. PLACING & AWARDSAwarding for all Taolu events will be respectively as follows:1. 1st – 8th place: If the number of competitors is 10 and above in a single division2. 1st - 3rd place: If the number of competitors is between 6 & 9 in a single division3. 1st – 2nd place: If the number of competitors is between 3 & 5 in a single division4. No placing or awards will be bestowed if the number of competitors in a single eventscomprises of 2 (two) or less competitors.8 P a g e

SANDA COMPETITIONA. COMPETITION EVENTS Junior Sanda Competition - 15 to 17 (including 17) years of age1. Boys’ Sanda Events:- 48 kg- 52 kg- 56 kg- 60 kg- 65 kg- 70 kg- 75 kg- 80 kg2.- Girls’ Sanda Events:48 kg52 kg56 kg60 kgChildren’s Sanda Competition - 12 to 14 (including 14) years of age1. Boy’s Sanda Events:-42kg-45kg-48kg-52kg-56kgB. PARTICIPATION METHODS1.2.3.Each country or region may enter one (1) team.Each sanda team shall be composed of a maximum eleven (15) members including: one (1)team leader, two (2) coaches, one (1) doctor and eleven (11) competitors (8 boys and 3 girls)separated as follows:- Junior Sanda Athletes (Maximum 8 athletes)o A maximum of five (5) boys and three (3) girls who were born between January1, 2001 – December 31, 2003.- Children’s Sanda Athletes (Maximum 3 athletes)o A maximum of three (3) boys who were born between January 1, 2004 –December 31, 2006.Each team may at most enter one (1) athlete per weight category, and each athlete may enter9 P a g e

4.only one (1) weight category.Each competitor should bring along with them a valid Health Certificate (includingelectroencephalogram, electrocardiogram, pulse and blood pressure) issued within 30 daysprior to the star of the competition signed by a qualified doctor and a Life Accidental InjuryInsurance Certificate. All competitors are required to submit a completed and signed waiver ofliabilities form, which has been signed by the competitor’s parent or legal guardian.C. COMPETITION METHODS1.2.3.4.5.6.7.The competition will be Individual Competition.The single knockout system will be adopted. If the number of competitors in a weight categoryis 3 or less, a single round – robin method will be adopted.Following arrival and registration, the athletes will go through the initial weighing in anddrawing lots formalities as stipulated in the schedule. All Sanda athletes will be required toweigh-in daily during the competition. Details regarding this will be circulated at a later timeonce finalized.Unless otherwise stated within these regulations, the competition will be conducted inaccordance with the “IWUF Wushu Sanda Competition Rules & Judging Method 2017”.Kicks to the head as well as successive/continuous punches to the head are not permitted.The duration of each round shall be 1 minute 30 secondsThe power of interpretation of the Rules rests solely with the IWUF. In the event ofdiscrepancies in the interpretation of the Rules, the Chinese Text shall prevail.D. COSTUMES & EQUIPMENT1.2.3.4.Competitors shall wear costumes and protective gear in compliance with the “IWUF WushuSanda Competition Rules & Judging Method 2017” to participate in the competition.Each competitor is required to possess two (2) sets of competition costumes: one set in blueand one set in red.Each competitor is required to possess their own mouth guard, jockstrap, and instep guard.Gloves and other protective equipment will be provided by the Organizing Committee.E.
