What you’re covered forMeaning of insolvencyWhen we use the words insolvent or insolvency, wemean that an individual or entity is unable to pay theirdebts, and their business has completely ceasedoperations because: of declared insolvency – whether or not theindividual or entity has filed for bankruptcy; ora business owner with prior convictions forfraudulent or dishonest acts:»»is under investigation for a fraudulent ordishonest act; orhas, or is suspected to have, illegally ran awaywith monies belonging to the business.Trip diversionWe will pay this benefit if you: Travel delayWe will pay this benefit if your trip is delayed for 6 continuoushours or more if: We will reimburse the following costs you pay as a resultof the insolvency. Flight, accommodation, concert and tour costs that: you have already paid but cannot get back; or»you are legally responsible for paying.Additional transport and accommodation expenses(the same class of transport as booked, and standardroom for hotel).are diverted to another destination for 6 continuous hoursor more,before you eventually reach your scheduled destination. You suffer a serious injury or illness and are medically unfitto travel. A medical practitioner must confirm this inwriting.A serious public event happens in Singapore or at one ofyour travel destinations.Your flight is cancelled by an airline because:»»the airport, runway, or airspace is closed; orof poor weather conditions.Any additional expenses you incur to extend your triplonger than you originally planned.Any amounts or compensation for customer loyalty points.Any expenses to upgrade you to a better class or categoryof transport or accommodation compared to youritinerary. This means, for example, changing your flightfrom a budget airline to a full-service airline.Protecting your stuffYour policy provides benefits that protect your belongingsduring your trip. Your cover for the following benefits starts 3hours before your trip is scheduled to begin.Baggage delayWe will pay this benefit if you have checked-in baggage that:What we payWe will reimburse the following costs you pay as a resultof changing any part of your scheduled itinerary. Additional transport and/or accommodationexpenses (the same class of transport as booked, andstandard room for hotel) you have to pay to continueyour trip; orAny costs you have paid in advance, which you can’tget back because of the itinerary change; orAny costs you are legally responsible for payingbecause of the itinerary change.V2.0 17 Feb 2022 is delayed, misdirected, or temporarily misplaced by anypublic transport provider; andreaches 6 continuous hours or more after you arrive atyour scheduled destination (including your final return toSingapore).What we payWe will pay you for each 6-hour period (except if thedelay happens in Singapore, we will only pay for the first6 hours) that your checked-in baggage is delayed. What you’re covered forWhat you should knowWe may refuse to pay your claim if you don’t do thefollowing. For items such as mobile phones, laptops, tablets, orjewellery, you must not have checked them in withthe public transport provider or left them in a vehicleunattended.Loss of passport, travel documents & theft ofmoneyWe will pay this benefit whilst you are on a trip overseas and: you lose your passport or other travel documents; and/or your money or travellers’ cheques are stolen.Your stolen or damaged items must have been underyour care, or in the care of another authorised person(including transport and accommodation providers).We may decline your claim if you cannot prove this.What we payWe may pay for any stolen or damaged traveldocuments or money under the Loss of traveldocuments and theft of money benefit. We will notpay for those items under this benefit. You must take all reasonable steps to find any lost orstolen items. You must report any stolen item to thepolice or a relevant authority in the country within 24hours where the loss or theft happened afterdiscovering the theft.We will reduce the amount of this benefit by anyamount we have already paid for the same itemsunder the Baggage delay benefit.We will reimburse the following to you. The value of stolen cash or travellers’ cheques.The costs to replace a passport or other traveldocuments.The costs or penalties charged by a transportprovider to issue replacement travel tickets.The following costs that are paid to organise for thereplacement of lost passport or travel documents:transport (economy class) or hotelaccommodation (standard room);»communication expenses;where these costs are reasonable. Perishables or consumables (including food, skincareproduct, perfume, contact lenses, and toiletries).Motorised vehicles of any form or its accessories. Traveller cards, credit value-loaded cards, prepaid debitcards, prepaid gift cards, transportation cards, and anyvalue that is loaded onto any such card.Loss or damage caused by wear and tear or gradualdeterioration. Musical instruments or its accessories or casing. Unauthorised phone costs or charge after its loss or theft. Items that do not belong to you. Sports equipment. Business goods or equipment. Information stored on storage devices. We may refuse to pay your claim if you don’t do thefollowing.Unexplained loss or mysterious dissappearence of anybaggage or belongings. Call our Emergency Assistance line at 65 6322 2072for advice on how to replace your travel documents.Your stolen or lost items must have been under yourcare, securely locked in a storage facility, or in thecare of another authorised person (includingtransport and accommodation providers). We maydecline your claim if you cannot prove this.Your money must have been stolen while beingcarried by you. We won’t pay any benefit for money:»»if the money is checked-in with any publictransport providers; orleft in a vehicle unattended.Fraudulent personal credit card usageWe will pay this benefit if unauthorised charges are made onyour credit card while you are overseas on a trip.What we payWe will reimburse any unauthorised charges on yourcredit card.V2.0 17 Feb 202211

What you’re covered forWhat you should knowWhat we payWe may refuse to pay your claim if you don’t do thefollowing.If you are suffering from a life-threatening illness orinjury: You must report any unauthorised charges (or thetheft of the credit card if it was stolen) to: your credit card issuers; andthe police in the country where the chargesor loss happens, within 24 hours of discovery.You need to follow all of the rules and requirementsthat your credit card issuer sets for dealing withunauthorised charges or lost credit cards.»» we will arrange and pay for an air ambulance, surfaceambulance, regular air transport, railroad, land or seatransport, or any other appropriate method to moveyou to a medical facility for treatment; andwe will pay for any administrative fees charged by anairline or travel agent to change your travel datesand/or destinations if the existing return ticket can beused to travel back to Singapore.If you die, we will arrange and pay for your body to bereturned to Singapore (or your home country chosen byyour legal representative).Not coveredWe do not cover any unauthorised charges made by: your family member; your travel companion; orWe will also pay any reasonable costs charged by anoverseas mortician or undertaker to prepare the bodyfor transport, such as: any person that you entrust with your credit card details. Protecting you and yourhealthYour policy provides benefits that protect you and your healthduring your trip and after your return.Emergency medical evacuation &repatriationTo claim this benefit, you (or someoneon your behalf) must call our EmergencyAssistance line at 65 6322 2072.We will decide on the most appropriate medical facility andtransport method based on your location and our assessmentof the severity of your medical condition or circumstances. 12we believe it is medically necessary to move you to amedical facility in Singapore or overseas; orcremation (if chosen by your legal representative);anda basic casket or urn.Personal liability while on your tripWe will pay this benefit while you are overseas on a trip and ifyou are held legally responsible for: the accidental death of another person; bodily injury to another person; or loss or damage to another person’s property.The other person must not be an interested party.What we payWe will pay: You can claim this benefit if you suffer from a life-threateningcondition as a result of an unexpected illness or injury thathappens while overseas on a trip, and:embalmment; any damages awarded against you by a court ofcompetent jurisdiction (except for punitivedamages); andthe legal costs and expenses that we agree to pay forrepresenting or defending you.you need to return to Singapore for continued treatmentafter having been moved to an overseas medical facility fortreatment; oryou die while overseas.V2.0 17 Feb 2022

What you’re covered forMeaning of total and permanent disabilityWhat we payTotal and permanent disability means:We will reimburse costs you pay for medically necessarytreatment. We will pay for treatment for a period of up to30 days from the date of the first treatment. you have suffered an accident during your trip;for 6 months in a row, the accident has stopped youfrom working in any job for a salary or wage, or hasstopped you from carrying out any businesswhatsoever; andThe costs we will pay include the following. our medical practitioner considers that you areunlikely ever to work in any job for a salary or wage,or to carry out any business at all, for the rest of yourlife. What you should knowDeath, total and permanent severance, or loss of use,must occur within 90 days of the accident for a claimunder this benefit to be valid. The total and permanent severance or loss of use of alimb must be:diagnosed by a medical practitionerapproved by us; and»beyond cure (considering surgical or othertreatments).If you suffer more than one of the injuries listed abovein the same accident, we will pay the total of allamounts, up to a maximum of 100% of the personalaccident sum insured.» If you are:»»on a public transport that disappears,becomes wrecked, or sinks; andyour body is not found, we will consider youto be deceased. In this case, we will pay thisbenefit on the earlier of:»an official death certificate beingreleased; or»when one year has passed since theaccident. Dental treatment but only if it is medically necessaryto treat injury caused by an accident.Reasonable costs of ambulance transportation.Treatment by a medical specialist but only if referredby a general practitioner.
