Many of you might normally keep a journal or maybe you have started one over the past fewweeks. Journals are special because they allow you to share your thoughts and feelings. Also, it’s neatto reread journals to remember how you were feeling during a certain period of time. Here are sometips for keeping a journal:-A journal can be a notebook or several pieces of paper stapled together.-Make sure you date each entry so you can keep track of what’s going on in your world and how youare feeling.-Journals aren’t just for writing; if you like to draw, you might choose to do that too!-Try to set a goal for writing in your journal such as “I am going to write in my journal 4 days a week.”-Think about when you do your best journal writing. I mostly write at the end of the day so I can record what my family and I did that day. However, sometimes if I am feeling sad, I write at that momentso I can get my feelings on paper.-If you don’t know what to write, you can -write about your feelings-write about what you are doing or what you did-write about your hopes and dreamsI hope these tips help Happy Writing! - Lauren Austin, Literacy Coach

We’ve transferred almost all materialsfrom our PE Blackboard site (content is still available through BB 24/7). Now it’s even easier to view PEcontent! You should all have received invitations in your FCPS Gmail account. While working on the site, Mr. Oviatt came across the following quote from a former US president:“Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity.”We’re not going to tell you who it was! Go take a look at the page to see which president it was! Historybuffs can even hear an audio recording of this president talking about the importance of physical fitness. (NOTE: Being physically fit does not mean that you are a triathlete, ultramarathoner or competitivebody builder but you know that!)We will continue to add a “Week’s Focus” as we continue with distance learning, sharing everythingfrom video lessons to fun activities and health tips. Also, all specialists have created a BBES SpecialistsGoogle Site as well, where live sessions will be offered for upper and lower grades based on student interest. As PE teachers, we have decided to start off by offering two half-an-hour sessions next weekcalled, “Warming-Up, Keep your Balance, & Get a Tour” where we get things moving and help display someof the content we’ve created in our digital classroom. So if you interested, please click on the BBES Specialists Google Site link found in your child’s Gmail account and sign up under a session. Stay Healthy!-Mr. Oviatt and Mr. Orahood
