Types ofScholarshipsThere are three categories of INSEAD scholarships:1. Need-based Scholarships:Awarded to students who can demonstrate financial need.Applicants must provide accurate financial information bysubmitting a number of supporting documents.2. Merit-based Scholarships:Granted based on academic merit, nationality, gender, professionalbackground, leadership abilities or any combination of thesecriteria. This includes applications from women, LGBT community, nationals of developing countries, entrepreneurs and professionalsfrom non-business backgrounds such as doctors, lawyers, artistsand researchers.3. Spot Scholarships:Awarded upon admission and without the need for application, thesescholarships are given on the spot for exceptional students. Successfulcandidates will receive notification on this award upon admission to theprogramme.

How toGet Started?Eligibility CriteriaAll scholarships have specific eligibility criteriabased on a combination of merit and financial need.Candidates are assessed on the quality of theirscholarship essays and the degree to which they meetthe eligibility criteria. As a part of the merit criteria, theCommittee will consider the academic and professionalachievements and merit distinctions received. Please notethat admissions essays are not part of the scholarship reviewprocess. Company sponsorships are considered as externalfinancial aid. We discourage candidates who are sponsoredfrom applying for INSEAD scholarships. Our scholarshipoffering is designed primarily for those with fewer resources.List of supporting documents forNeed-based Scholarships: Proof of salary (latest salary slip or a letter from your employer);Bank statements for the last three months that will reflect yourchecking and savings accounts. However, funds are reserved to offer a number of merit scholarship awardsupon admission, based on the quality of the MBA application. Theydo not require an application and if you do not receive notificationupon admission, this would mean that you have not been selected. We encourage you to limit your applications to a maximum of fivescholarships.Scholarship awards are deducted from the last instalment of yourtuition fees.If you are awarded an INSEAD scholarship and you have alsoreceived a full tuition external or national award, we will automaticallywithdraw your INSEAD award which will be reallocated to anotherdeserving candidate in your or a future intake.
