INEOS FORTIES PIPELINE SYSTEM (FPS) LTD.PUBLIC STATEMENT, THE UNITY PLATFORM

FPS OVERVIEWST. FERGUSCRUDENBAYABERDEENUNITY INNEILTERMINALThe Forties Pipeline System (FPS) is anintegrated oil and gas transportationand processing system. It is owned andoperated by INEOS and utilises morethan 500 miles of pipeline to smoothlytransport crude oil and gas from morethan 80 offshore fields for processingat the Kinneil Terminal. At Kinneil theoil and gas are separated, with the oilreturned as Forties Blend to customersat Hound Point or pumped to thePetroineos refinery at Grangemouth. At the same time the gas goes to ourLPG export facilities or is supplied tothe INEOS petrochemical plant. FPStransports around 40% of the UK’soil production supply and brings over400,000 barrels ashore every ENESOLVENTSHOUND POINTPVCETHYLENE ERMINALLPG SPHENOLCUMENEDIESELCRUDE C4JET FUELBUTADIENEKEROSENEGASOLINEGAS OIL/HEATING OILAROMATICSFUEL OILBENZENELPGGASOLINE

UNITY PLATFORM OVERVIEWINEOS FPS operates the Unity Platform which is located inBlock 21/9 of the North Sea in 122 metres of water. The platformis a ‘Not Permanently Attended Installation’ (NPAI) and is operatedremotely from the on-shore control centre at the Kinneil Terminalin Grangemouth. Maintenance teams visit the platform regularlyby helicopter and more intensive maintenance programs areconducted periodically using a ‘Walk to Work’ (WTW) vessel.Unity is a gathering hub with pig reception facilities. It receivescrude oil and gas via six incoming pipelines connected to otheroffshore installations operated by other companies. The streamsare combined into a 36” subsea pipeline (the ‘FPS Sealine’) to theonshore Cruden Bay Terminal north of Aberdeen. From there, the hydrocarbon is transported via a 36” undergroundpipeline (the ‘FPS Landline’) to the Kinneil Terminal.INEOS FPS operates theUnity Platform whichis located in Block 21/9of the North Sea in122 metres of water. The platform is a ‘NotPermanently AttendedInstallation’.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMINEOS FPS maintains an Environmental Management System (EMS) that isembedded within the integrated FPS Management System. An environmentTechnical Authority (TA) is appointed to maintain the EMS which includes anEnvironmental Management Practice (EMP). There are a suite of supportingprocedures which define the environmental legislative and additional businessrequirements. The environmental aspects of operations are managed and controlled through theEnvironmental Risk Register. Environmental objectives, targets and improvementprogrammes are defined and managed through the annual Safety, Health andEnvironment (SHE) planning process which includes a specific annual improvementplan. Discussion and review of environmental performance occurs daily, weeklyand monthly through a cascade of operational and management meetings. Theenvironmental management review is incorporated into the annual integratedmanagement review.INEOS FPS maintains anEnvironmental ManagementSystem (EMS) that is embeddedwithin the integrated FPSManagement System.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICYINEOS FPS environmental policy is embedded within the SHE Policy below:Our commitment is to protect the health and safety of our employees, the communitiesin which we operate and the users of our products. We aim to meet or exceed all relevantlegislative requirements and minimise the effect of our operations on the environment. This will be achieved through the application our TOP control hierarchy: Technical Solutions - It will always be our first consideration to achieve plantand equipment that is inherently safe through design and construction. Organisational Solutions - Using only trained and competent personnel, working in compliance with robust processes and procedures to operate andmaintain our plant and equipment. Personnel Protection - The use of measures to protect individuals (e.g. personalprotective equipment) will be implemented only after the required technical andorganisational changes have been implemented.INEOS FPS shall work in compliance with INEOS 20 Principles, ensuring that the highestlevels of Process and Behavioural Safety performance are achieved and maintained. All personnel, both INEOS and third party, shall have clearly defined expectationsregarding the necessary Safety, Health and Environmental behaviours required towork in INEOS FPS. These expectations shall be supported and reinforced throughthe highest standards of leadership and supervision at all levels of INEOS FPS andits contracting companies. The requirements set out in the INEOS Group Life Saving Rules shall be fairly andconsistently applied to all personnel working for INEOS FPS to support a culture ofcompliance with rules and positive Safety, Health and Environmental behaviours. As stated in the SHE Policy, our environmental goals are: Ensuring our facilities have as low an impact as practicable on the environment. Meeting or, where practicable, exceeding all relevant environmentallegislative requirements. There are no significant environmental aspects and impacts associated with theoperation of the Unity Platform, therefore there are no specific environmentalobjectives and targets set for the Unity Platform. The objectives and targets withinINEOS’ overall environmental objectives and targets for the whole of FPS operations, that are relevant to the Unity Platform are: Zero environmental incidents that have an offsite effect or require a reportto the Regulatory Authority. CONTENTS These guidelines are intended to ensure brand consistency across all INEOS touchpoints. They should be followed as closely as possible. They do, however, allow flexibility within the layouts and structure as we know that no two communication touchpoints are identical. If in any doubt, please contact richard.longden@ineos.com
