Thank you for your interest in the 2022 Graduate Student Epidemiology Program (GSEP)! Please follow these instructions to complete and submit yourapplication. If you have any questions or difficulties completing the application or would prefer to complete your application via phone, please email MauraLeahy (mleahy@amchp.org).1. Go tohttps://tinyurl.com/GSEPStudentApply.If you applied for 2021 GSEP, your emailaddress will be saved in the system and youcan log-in by selecting “Forgot yourpassword.”If this is your first time applying for GSEP,select “Sign Up” to create an account.2. First, you will need to create a studentprofile. If you applied to GSEP 2021, yourstudent profile from last year will be saved;however, you can edit it.If you are applying for the first time, select“Create a Profile to Get Started.”To preview the fields you will need tocomplete for the student profile, pleaserefer to this document.

3. At any time, you can go back and updateyour student profile by selecting “Edit.”Once you’ve created a profile, you will nowbe able to complete the studentapplication. Both new and returning GSEPapplicants will need to select “ GetStarted” to complete the application.4. There are two pieces/steps to the studentapplication.First, you need to complete the studentapplication questions. You can previewthese questions here. Select “Open” in theStudent Application row to complete thesequestions.Second, you will need to request one letterof recommendation. Select “Open” in the“Letter of Recommendation” row torequest your letter of recommendation. Formore information about the letter ofrecommendation, please refer to the letterof recommendation guidance on the GSEPwebsite.

5. When completing the student application,you will have the option to “Save Draft” toreturn later to complete the application.When you are ready to submit this step,please click the blue “Mark Complete”button.Once you have saved your application, thisstep will show as “Complete” as indicatedin the image to the right. At this stage, youcan still make edits to your application.6. To request your letter of recommendation,please select “ New Request.”You will then need to add the name ande-mail address of your recommender.Clicking “Send” will send an email to yourrecommender with a link where they canupload their letter of recommendation.Please refer to this resource that you canshare with your recommender about thesteps to submit their letter ofrecommendation.

7. Once you have requested your letter ofrecommendation, you will be able to seewhether your recommender uploaded theirletter. You can send a reminder email toyour recommender once every 24 hours byselecting “Remind.”Once your recommender has uploadedtheir letter of recommendation, it will showas completed (as in the second image onthe right). Your recommender must uploadtheir letter of recommendation by theapplication deadline of March 1, 2022 at11:59pm in order for you to be able tosubmit your application.

8. You will not be able to submit yourapplication until your recommender hasuploaded their letter of recommendation.Only once you have completed the studentapplication AND your recommender hasuploaded their letter of recommendationwill you be able to submit your application.You must submit your application via thegreen “Submit” button for your applicationto be considered. After submitting yourapplication, you will no longer be able tomake any edits.You must submit your application before11:59pm EST on March 1, 2022 in order foryour application to be considered.
