To unlock and openBefore dialing your combination, simply insert thekey (if equipped) in the lock and turn until theplunger pops out. Remove key.NOTE: The safe will lock if key lock cylinder ispressed in with or without key.2. To close and lockYou can relock the safe in two ways. Remove and discard the screw (ifequipped) at the base of the lock case.2. Turn the electronic lock case to theright (clockwise), from 12 o’clock to12 o’clock, and remove. Insert 4 new AA batteries (not included) to powerthis lock. Replace the electronic lock case and turn to theleft (to 12 o’clock) to reassemble.NOTE: The yellow LED will light when the batteriesneed to be replaced.3. Turn the key (if your safe is equipped with a keylock) to the right so the lock cylinder pops out.4. Enter the factory code (printed on the first pageof this guide). When the green light appears, youhave four seconds to turn the handle down toopen. Try this several times before proceeding tothe next step.ANOTE: It may be required to push thebolt button which, in turn, will throwthe bolts to a locked position while thedoor is open (Fig. A).To unlock safe:Enter the 5-digit factory code, a pre-programmeduser code, or a pre-programmed user pin(programming instructions to follow). When thegreen LED lights you have 4 seconds to turn thehandle and open the safe.1-EnglishAccess codesThere are 3 possible ways to unlock and accessthe safe:1. Factory code(Found on the first page of this guide) You canalways open the safe by entering the pre-set 5-digitfactory code. This code cannot be deleted.2. Tip the safe onto its right side. (Doorhinges horizontal with the floor.)2. Unlock the safe and open the door.3. Look on the bottom of the safe for twoindentations in opposite corners. Using the7 16" (11.0 mm) bit, drill a hole througheach indentation perpendicular to thebottom of the safe. (Fig. B)4. Close the door and tip the safe upright.Place it where desired and reopen thedoor.5. Use a screw or drill bit to mark the floorthrough both holes. (Fig. C)6. Move the safe aside to clear both markedspots for drilling.7. Drill into the floor:A. For wood: Using the wood drill bit,drill a hole 2-1 2" (64 mm) deep in eachmarked spot. (Fig. D)B. For masonry: Using the masonry bit,drill a hole 2-1 2" (64 mm) deep in eachmarked spot. (Fig. D) Install a masonryanchor in each hole.Please note: Your safe’s serial number is requiredto obtain replacement combination/keys. The serialnumber can be found near the door hinge asshown or at the beginning of this guide.XY12344Troubleshooting If electronics are not functioning, replacebatteries first (behind electronic lock case)as described in step one of this guide. If electronics are functioning and you cannot getinto safe:Delay modeEnters a two-minute delay mode after an invalidcode has been entered three consecutive times.In this mode, the lock can not be activated andany key entry will generate an ERROR signal.- Pull handle up- Follow instructions for opening your lock type. You must use both the key (if equipped) and theelectronic code to open the safe if the key lockcylinder is pushed in.Registration: To be eligible for warranty coverage, the original purchaser must registerthe product online at www.sentrysafe.com or complete and return to Sentry Groupthe enclosed registration card.accumulate inside your safe. Please openyour unit periodically to avoid moistureaccumulation.8. Replace the safe in the desired position,with the holes in the safe aligned withthose in the floor.WARNINGDO NOT store delicateitems directly in your safe.3-EnglishSentrySafe products which offer fireprotection have a proprietary insulation thathas a high moisture content.
