Students that fail a DeVry course are responsible for tuitionpayment of repeated courses.General InformationThe Advantage Academy program is a concurrent/dual enrollment opportunity for a student to complete both their high school educationand earn a DeVry University associate degree simultaneously during their junior and senior year of high school. Students enter the programas a cohort with other students from their high school district. The academic calendar of the DeVry University courses may differ from thehigh school district calendar and includes a summer term. If a student fails or withdraws from a course, they will be given the opportunity toretake the course once at their own expense and remain within the cohort. The Advantage Academy program terminates when the studentcompletes high school.DeVry reserves the right to discontinue the instruction of a student whose conduct is in its judgment unsatisfactory. Students who commit abreach of school rules or normal standards of good conduct will be dismissed. Advantage Academy students are not eligible forhousing assistance, part-time employment assistance, Veterans Administration benefits or financial aid.Admissions RequirementsStudents will not be enrolled in the Advantage Academy program until all enrollment requirements are met. To be admitted to this program,students must meet the following requirements, including but not limited to: successful completion of 10th grade; a cumulative high schoolGPA of 2.5 or higher; a 90% attendance rate; good discipline record; and receive acceptable scores on DeVry University placement tests.Acceptance to this program is not guaranteed and DeVry may limit the number if qualified applicants exceed available spaces for theprogram; students will be selected through a selection committee of high school and DeVry University staff.Continuous Enrollment RequirementsFor successful participation and matriculation in the DeVry University Advantage Academy, students are expected to: maintain 90% classattendance daily; complete all assigned coursework and other requirements on time; adhere to the rules/regulations and policies of ChicagoPublic Schools (CPS), DeVry University Advantage Academy and DeVry University (including the CPS and DeVry Codes of Conduct); maintain aGPA of 2.5; and return all course materials, books and supplies upon the conclusion of each term.Information DisclosureDeVry University previously advertised that “Since 1975, 90% of DeVry graduates system-wide in the active job market held positions in theirfields of study within 6 months of graduation.” The U.S. Department of Education has asserted that the records maintained by DeVryUniversity for the period 1975-1983 were not sufficient to substantiate the Since 1975 Representation, and thus that DeVry University couldnot substantiate this representation to the extent required by law. Accordingly, the University agreed to cease making the Since 1975Representation and post this notification on its website.DeVry publishes accurate information about its programs, policies, services and graduate outcomes.
