Getting Started1In this chapter: Installing the Equipment Interface, 2 Setting Up Equipment Interfaces, 5 Using the Equipment Interface to Capture Data, 7 Reviewing Data Captured by the Equipment Interface, 9Eyefinity EHR works with the diagnostic equipment connected to your computerto import readings into exams or display images that are managed by theequipment’s image review software. In some cases, Eyefinity EHR can importinformation directly from the connected equipment. In other cases, Eyefinity EHRrequires that the equipment’s software be installed on the computer.Refer to the other chapters in this guide for information on installing and usingspecific pieces of equipment with Eyefinity EHR.This chapter explains how to setup and use the Eyefinity Equipment Interface ingeneral.NOTE Ensure that you meet the Eyefinity EHR system requirements inity-ehr/sys-req.html prior to installing, setting up, and using the Eyefinity EquipmentInterface.Eyefinity EHR Equipment Integration Guide1

Chapter 1Getting Started Installing the Equipment InterfaceInstalling theEquipmentInterfaceFollow the instructions in this section if you are an Eyefinity EHR, Eyefinity PracticeManagement, or AcuityLogic user. Install the Eyefinity Equipment Interface on allcomputers where equipment interfaces will be used.NOTES If you do not use OfficeMate, then you no longer needOfficeMate/ExamWRITER to be installed on computers whereequipment interfaces will be used. If you already haveOfficeMate/ExamWRITER installed, you can continue to keep it onyour computers, although you will no longer need to update it toreceive the latest equipment integration updates. After you install the Eyefinity Equipment Interface, it will beautomatically updated every time there are new interfacesavailable. You will not need to manually perform any futureupdates to use newly available interfaces. To view the latest list ofequipment integrations available for you to use, go inity-ehr/ehr-equipment-integration.html.1. Download the Eyefinity Equipment Interface installer stallers/EyefinityEquipmentInterface.exe and save it to a folder on your server that can be accessedby all computers where equipment interfaces will be used.2. On a workstation, navigate to the folder that contains the EyefinityEquipment Interface installer that you downloaded in step 1.3. Double-click EyefinityEquipmentInterface.exe.The Eyefinity Equipment Interface Setup window opens.4. If an Update Available window opens and detects a newer version of theEyefinity Equipment Interface, click Update Now to download and install it;otherwise, go to step 5.2Eyefinity EHR Equipment Integration Guide
