Student Accounts

MCC TechTrail A portal to your online student accounts To set up your student accounts, you must set your username and password which will be used for all of your accounts. 30% Click on the TechTrail icon at the top right of MCC's homepage, select Account Activation. 60% After activating, you can begin accessing all of your student accounts like Self Service and Trailmail. 90%

MCC TechTrail TechTrail can be found at the top right corner of MCC's homepage. Once there, select Account Activation and start setting up your account. Other important items in TechTrail: Blackboard: This will be used for any course taken at MCC. Gmail (Trailmail): This is where you will access your student email account. Password Reset: This is how you will reset your password whether your password expires or you forget your information. Self Service: This is what you will use when looking up personal information (Financial Aid Award, Grades, Registering, etc.)

Self Service Trailmail Self Service is a great way to monitor your status regarding admissions, financial aid, and registration. Students are assigned a student gmail account and are encouraged to check their email regularly. In Self Service, you can: Email can provide info like: View requirement documents for admissions and financial aid View financial aid status View grades Register for courses Pay for tuition & fees Monitor progress towards completing program requirements Obtain an unofficial transcript Admissions updates Financial Aid updates Reminders about registration and tuition payment After registration, you should also expect emails from your instructors concerning assignments and/or deadlines

Financing

Financing Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Students are encouraged to apply early at www.fafsa.gov After submitting the application, students will begin receiving notifications through their student email account concerning the steps to complete their financial aid file. MCC Foundation Scholarships Students will be notified of their scholarship eligibility after submitting their FAFSA Outside Scholarships Students receiving outside scholarships should contact MCC's Business Office. Sponsorships Students being sponsored by employer or outside agencies should contact MCC's Business Office about required documentation. Nelnet Payment Plan MCC has a payment plan through Nelnet. Students should be aware of the additional cost as well as the limited enrollment periods. Self Pay Students Payment can be made directly to MCC's Business Office or through your Self Service account.

Registration Advising, Registration, Payment & Student ID

Advising and Registering Students are assigned an academic advisor based on their program of study. When the registration period opens, students are encouraged to contact their academic advisor to schedule an advising appointment to discuss an academic plan and course offerings Students may register after meeting with their academic advisors. First time MCC students should register with their academic advisor or Student Services staff for their first term enrollment. Moving forward, after meeting with your advisor, students can register themselves through Self Service.
