Both coaches replace 2013 interm coach Tim Kearse. Fong subsequently resigned in mid-June. Sheldon Halliman was named co-head coach (C) - April 4, 2014 – At the annual B.C. lions Orange Helmets Awards the following former BCFC coaches were honoured for their time involved in football in B.C. Dave Easley former coach of Renfrew Trojans, Pete Ohler former coach with the Meralomas and Ranji Mattu, former Vancouver Blue Bomber coach were honoured with Pioneer Awards. The Bob Ackles Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to former Abbotsford Air Force Head Coach Jerry Mulliss. (D) – September 17, 2014 – Linebacker J.T. Fernandez of the Okanagan Sun died of an apparent suicide (E) – September 18, 2014 – Former Vancouver Meralomas Head Coach Ed Murray and former BCFC Executive member Ron Docherty were both inducted into the British Colmbia Football Hall of Fame in the Builders Category (F) – At the Cullen Cup game on October 26, 2014 former BCFC President Frank Naso was named a Life Member of the BCFC. (G) – On November 3, 2014, the Vancouver Islad Raiders fired Head Coach Brian Ridgeway. Reason given was a conflict between Brian and some members of the board (H) – November 14, 2014 – Kamloops Broncos head coach Duncan Olthius resigned as head coach due to work commitments. Duncan stayed on as a consultant and assistant coach (I) – November 17, 2014 the Westshore Rebels announced that Andrew Axhorn would not be returning as head coach (J) – November 24, 2014, the Kamloops Broncos announced that assistant coach Brad Yamaoka was named head coach of the team, replacing Duncan Olthuis. (K) – November 29, 2014, former BCFC President and current President of Football BC Larry Reda, was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in the Builders category (L) – December 3, 2014 – Vancouver Island Raiders announced Jeremy Conn as their new head coach. (B) – At the AGM on March 23, the Chilliwack Huskers requested and were granted a name change bac to their original name the Valley Huskers commencing with the 2013 season (C) – Friday April 19, at the Orange Helmet Awards ceremony, former Abbotsford Air Force Head Coach Bill MacGregor was recognized with a Lifetime Achievement Award. As well, former BCFC President Hans Finken and former Vancouver Meralomas Head Coach Ed Murray were honoured with Orange Helmet Pioneer Awards (D) – July 6, Westshore Rebels Head Coach Scott Mennie, citing personal reasons, stepped down as Westshore’s Head Coach. (E) – July 13, the Westshore Rebels named Tim Kearse as Head Coach. Kearse had been the Rebels Offensive Coordinator in 1998-00. (F) – July 21, Westshore Rebels President Roger Wade stepped down due to business pressure. Vice President Elise Pastro assumed the role of interm President (G) – Prior to the season, Langley Rams head coach Jeff Alamolhoda stepped down as Head Coach and took the position of General Manager. Ted Kirby was named Head Coach (H) – August 7, the CJFL levied a 3000.00 fine against the Okanagan Sun for Tampering. The Sun had registered a player who was on the Hamilton Hurricanes 2012 protected list. (I) – August 12, the BCFC levied a fine of 500.00 and a game forfeiture against the Okanagan Sun for playing a ineligible player. The ruling stems from the same rule violation that the CJFL levied against the Sun. The forfeited game was to the Valley Huskers who were awarded the win by a 1 to 0 score (J) – On August 17, Matt Blokker, head coach of the Vancouver Island Raiders won his 84 game as head coach in a 56 to 3 win over the Valley Huskers. His 84 wins makes him the winningest coach in BCFC history. Matt broke the previous record of 83 that was held by fomer Surrey Rams / Tri-City Bulldogshead coach Nick Kawaza. (K) – On September 14, the British Columbia Football Hall of Fame announced the 2013 Inductees. From the BCFC were the 1982 Renfrew Trojans football club who were inducted in the team category. In the Athlete category, former Vancouver Meralomas quarterback (1971-1973) Dan Smith was inducted and in the Builders category former Vancouver Meralomas player and Abbotsford Air Force Head Coach Bill MacGregor was inducted. 5

(M) – November 17, Langley Rams announced that Jeff Alamolhoda will be returning as head coach of the team. (O) – December 5, Matt ‘Snoop’ Blokker stepped down as head coach of the Vancouver Island Raiders. Matt leaves as the winningest coach in BCFC history with 89 victories. The schedule called for the top three teams from 2011 to play each other three times, while the bottom three played three times. The teams crossed over for one game and played their rival to make up the ten game schedule. This was an attempt to eliminate the high scores between the top three and the bottom three teams. (E) – The BCFC endorsed and sponsored a Spring Tier II league consisting of four teams. The league was organized to allow players who felt they weren’t ready for junior football. The age limit was 18 to 20. The league began play in April 9

(F) – On March 28, the Okanagan Sun named Gavin Lake was their new head coach. Gavin had previous experience in the BCFC as an assistant coach with the Vancouver Island Raiders. (G) – At the 2012 Orange Helmet Awards two former BCFC coaches and one team were honoured. Roy Gardiner former head coach with the North Shore Cougars and Richmond Raiders and former Victoria Dolphins head coach Roy Voliinger were presented Pioneer Awards. As well, the Canadian Champion 1982 Renfrew Trojans team was also honoured with a Pioneer Award. (H) – Jack Covey, who has held many positions on the BCFC Board of Directors, was named BCFC Life Member. Jack is the BCFC’s twelveth Life Member (I) – On October 15, the Okanagan Sun fired Head Coach Gavin Lake. Team President Paul Carson assumed the Head Coaches duties. (J) – Following the Rebels / Langley semi-final playoff game, the two teams got into a brawl that resulted in player ejections and some damage to Langley sponsor signs. A fan contacted the RCMP who responded, but when arrived order was restored by each teams coaches and both teams were in their respective changerooms. (L) – On November 22, the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame inducted former Okanagan Sun President Dr. Barry Urness. Also inducted was the 1988 Okanagan Sun team that won their first Canadian Bowl championship. (M) – On November 28, the Westshore Rebels announced that Head Coach John Cardilichia had stepped down as Head Coach.
