How to do Picture in Picture using the Camtasia Plug-in within PowerPoint 2013 By Alexander Palazzo and Scott Badger 1. In the Task List, select Record PowerPoint. 2. Microsoft PowerPoint opens. Open a PowerPoint presentation to record. 3. Select the recording options from the PowerPoint Add-in Toolbar. 4. To record voice narration, enable Record Audio Record Audio button. 5. To record camera video (Picture-in-Picture), enable Record Camera. Record Camera button. 6. To preview the camera stream while recording, enable Camera Preview. Camera Preview button. (Note: Turn off before you start the recording) 7. Click Camtasia Studio recording options Recording Options button to change the settings. 8. Click the Record button Record button. 9. The presentation opens in presentation mode. A Camtasia Studio dialog opens in the lower right corner of the screen. Click the Click to begin recording button. 10. PowerPoint Recording dialog 11. 12. To stop the recording when you’re done with the last slide, press ESC . To stop the recording at the end of the presentation, click Stop recording. 13. Enter a file name and location and click Save. The presentation recording saves as a Camtasia Studio recording file (.camrec). 14. Select “Edit your recording” 15. Click Ok. 16. 17. Click Ok. 18. Move the video window to the location where you want it the video to show up in the final publish video. You need to click on the video window so that only the video window is being selected. You should only see the resize (hollow circles) around the video window. (Note: The video window will be displaying a black background by default. 19. (Optional) You can resize the video window by dragging one of the corner resize handles either diagonally right (make smaller) or diagonally left (make larger) 20. Make sure that the starting marker is at the beginning of the timeline. 4 Page User Support Services Rhode Island College Rev-1
